What beer are you drinking now? #1476

What do you think about it? Is it devious? Is he happy while unknowingly headed to a slaughter? Does he know of the slaughter and laughs in the face of death? Does he know there's more like him out there (Animal Farm)? Is he a cannibal? Is he even a he? Or is he just a pig with a butcher's hat?

I also grapple with this.

I'm fortunate to have a great beer store in a small market in CNY that will often get cans of Grimm. No chasing, or waiting in lines or limits. Just a matter of knowing when they drop.

 

A little more of that @tasterschoice62 taste of choice. It'll bruise you up.

 

Great fruit IPA. Flavors of big juicy/lightly tart blackberries; with hop flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine; with some honey, light caramel, toasted bready malt; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind bitterness and light tannic fruit tartness on the finish. Medium bodied; moderate hops stickiness and lightly creamy/syrupy/tannic fruit/malt in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate sticky/tannic dryness. Extremely drinkable and refreshing. A definite favorite fruit beer/IPA for me now that they are year round.


Excellent IPA! Flavors of bright grapefruit, tangerine, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, and pine hops; with some light honey/bready maltiness; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Good sized pine/rind/grassy bitterness; with a nice sticky/resinous mouthfeel with a moderately crisp/dry finish. Nice supportive pale malt backbone against bitterness, but the flavors are all hops. Bright and dank across the board. Will continue buying singles when I see them fresh, the complexity of the Aussie hops in this beer is completely delicious. Freshness availability has been really great lately on the singles shelf.


Awesome as usual! Flavors of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, cream, toasted dark bread, caramel, toffee, and light smoke/charred malt. Bittersweet creamy/silky medium-full body; super smooth and lightly drying. This is better than I remember when I had it fresh, but age on this bottle is unknown. Probably from earlier this year. Very rich and robust, with just the right amount of roast flavors going on to not be overly sweet. I love the whole stout series, they are finally coming back around now since it is the fall season.

Short's Double Magician

 

My favorite pumpkin beer out of more than 50 I've rated is Punkuccino. Elysian is dialed in. This is also excellent. Amazing aroma:

Not a fan of that beer either but the fact that you travel with your own coveted glassware .... => "like" ... *click*!!!!

 

The nurse is fast approaching with my syringe of Geritol so it appears my evening is coming to a closure. Unfortunately, Gertrude more closely resembles Annie Wilkes than either of the twins in @LeperJim 's psychedelic vision.

@Lingenbrau Blasted Grimple for two hours today. Will blast them more tomorrow, most likely. How I didn't know, I don't know.

 

Yesssssss!!! How funny! I have a video of my kid and the neighbors kids rocking out and dancing to Grimple from tonight (don't ask)! I'll send the video tomorrow, or whenever I can. 2 hours means you liked them I assume?

 

That would be a safe assumption.
