Our Lot was great on draft if what you're referring to was the batch from...I think it was around Labor Day? Or is this an even newer batch?

Very much looking forward to GLOOM (and, subsequently, every opportunity to emphasize the word GLOOM outside of black metal forums).

Boy, that is a tiny allotment. No wonder it's for beer friends only. I know it's been discussed, but what's been the cause of delay in bottles and cans? Just getting over festival/award season and trying to get back into the rhythm?

Ya, it'll be nice to see some more cans from HpB. It's been too long. I'm over the Monks can release. Even stopped going to fill my growlers with that Haze EC style IPA's.

    Can release coming soon.

But yeah, the getting over the festival/award/summer events and regional beer weeks just set things back.

Hey if it helps, there's 275 bottles, but limit two. So someone's either going to get shutout or the more likely that a few bottles may see public.

For those feeling left out, I think in 2017 the Beer Friends list will grow to include a lot more new members. This is total conjecture, of course. I had no idea it even existed until I got the first email of 2016, and now that it is public knowledge (at least to BAs) fans are buying every release to get access.

I wonder what will happen when the new facility opens. Judging by industry trends are we assuming there will be a wider spread "society" style program?

While I do enjoy the benefits of the paid membership that bruery and TRB have, I would welcome them just making beer friends entry known, but keep the same format of entry. That way there aren't peeps that are in the club purely for one or two special releases, and it's more of people that just like the brewery.

I believe Bob's original plan was to drop folks from Beer Friends if their purchases dropped off which would get rid of people cherry picking releases. Which means they won't be adding many people to it until production capacity is increased. But I have no idea if he's dropped anyone yet or if he still plans to.

Personally once production capacity is increased I hope Bob continues with the simple, limited beer friends as it is now, maybe adding can releases to it somehow. The only benefit for beer friends is advance sales, and occasionally higher limits. This is the first time there's been a beer friends only release. So far there hasn't been any secret beer friends parties, no special merch, no discounts?, etc (at least not that I've been to or been offered).

Yeah, I don't think there's been any other special beer friends releases... Except those extra/early bottles of Woodshop 10, but I just heard about that. I wasn't a beer friend yet.

Beer Friends is great. No expectations, no limitations. Just whatever Bob/HPB feels like doing, and he's usually spot on and "gets it"

These are the kinds of clubs I really enjoy. No real hoops to jump through just all of a sudden..."hey, wanna get on a presale list for being a loyal customer?" Yeah ok.

I like that a few breweries do this. It makes you feel special when you are on that list (not short bus special....or maybe...)

I would expect that there will be a few new adds to beer friends, probably not a lot but some, i highly doubt anyone will get kicked out, and if they were to ever put together a membership there will have been a lot of thought put into it, to make sure it makes just as much sense for the loyal customer as it does hpb, but who am i what do i know.

The problem is that when you have a set of guidelines towards how to get in to beer friends... well, then, there's an expectation to get in to beer friends.

This is the first time that the bottle limits were so low that beer friends had the exclusive chance to get it. But even in the past, NOT ALL BEER FRIENDS BUY THE BEER. so, there's a good chance that some will make it to gen pop.

But I would expect that with increased capacity, that this is one of those one in a blue moon moments where beer friends would have first crack at this stuff like this.

To my knowledge, beer friends only has had one opening past the original inception of it. It's been just a general "thanks for being there for us" sort of thing, so for the moment, I do think Bob would like to keep it just as that before an sort of expectations or whatever to what is an otherwise just laid back sort of thing.

Any chance we'll see a can release before or on next Thursday? I really don't want to spend the holidays without cans of HPB IPA (and that's when I leave town).

Even though there is no fee to get in and no explicit list of benefits I could easily see people getting salty for being dropped and would be really shocked to see that happen in anything but the most extreme cases... I'm sure the guys who joined AA and hasn't bought a release in a year isn't going to bitch but short of that, feelings would be hurt and Internet bitching would commence.

I just made frown faces cause I got amped on that our lot description. (Thanks Internet) I'm not bitter about not being in the club. Since I have to send thank you beers i don't buy every release and since I'm limited to an amount of shipper slots I don't Max the ones I do buy. I wouldn't expect to be a beer friend. makes sense.

Kinda like when patch notes are released for the game you are playing and there is a large "Balance" section (i.e. we are going to nerf your meta).
