Looks like I picked a good time to join! Nice to see cans offered in a membership format. Anyplace else doing this? It'll be nice to avoid the mayhem generally associated with these can releases elsewhere. Or am I too optimistic?

Yes, the Facebook group. I've tried a couple of their IPAs and thought they were both fantastic, so this is a great development for 2017.

Seems like it will be handled similar to modern times, at least for members..

Sad for those of us relying on shipments or the very occasional road trip there. Might have to find a trustee for the monthly shipment

New email went out today, the next two releases sound good...

The Fourth member release is Heritage Gold.

Heritage Gold is our Foeder aged golden sour ale refermented on Masumoto Family Farms' Sun Crest peaches. Known as golden globes sun Crests are an endangered heirloom varietal that are extraordinarily juicy and aromatic.
    750ml/7.1% abv.

The Fifth member release is La Flor.

Foeder aged golden sour ale refermented on nearly a ton of California grown Red Plums. La Flor exudes intense stone fruit aromas, balanced acidity and a wonderful drinking experience.
    750ml/ 8.4% abv.

Any clue why me a 2017 member can log in and purchase those bottles?

Brand new membership, was not a '16 member .... Very temping to try and get them and see if they notice the "error"

They will monitor the sales and cancel the sale if it's a 2016 member only bottle.

As a new member for 2017, I love their IPAs and sours already, but I'm sorta out of my mind about what they working on for stouts. It's like they are waiting for the perfect recipe before they release anything...

theyve already released one stout that was really amazing on draft only

But keep in mind...not every brewery makes sours, or saisons, or Belgian quads. Is there a rule everyone has to make a stout? I applaud them for wanting to make one that is nothing short of stellar. There is so much mediocre beer out there that if their reason for not releasing one is because it's not as good as they want it to be, then I applaud them. Only release beer that is worthy. And their sours and ipas definitely are world class already and improving every batch

Pretty sure the only stout they have done was the only stout the brewer has ever brewed. They will come when they are ready, they are a farmhouse/sout brewery first and foremost.

Their stout is guaranteed to be on point. For the few who made it out to try the first batch that was taproom-only, all I spoke to agreed that it was phenomenal. The newest batch is currently in progress and I know I'm personally extremely excited to taste it whenever it is ready.

Agreed - I was extremely impressed by the stout when I tried it, as well as their IPAs, sours and saisons. I can't wait to try the golden sour with the Masumoto peaches that showed up on my doorstep yesterday.

We are actually putting 15bbl of stout into bourbon barrels this week. We also may have a few variations of the base stout showing up in the tasting room in casks in the near future.

Great to hear! I love the attention to detail and the ambition you guys have. More breweries should have a desire for quality on the same level as you. Really looking forward to a killer 2017.

I'm coming to visit CASA this Saturday, my first time. I hope that canning machine is ready to roll!

I figured not, but I can hope since they originally said Dec/Jan time-frame
