Well then why would someone even enter the lottery if the beer is deemed so expensive that there is no choice but to flip the beers? Seems irrational to me. Unless their only intention is to flip the beers in the first place.

Two years ago I purchased 9 bottles of Assassin for $180 at the taproom (over 3 days).

What other brewery charges these prices for a simple barrel aged stout? Sadly, they know they can, but it doesn't mean they should. Glassware and box mean nothing. Your paying $200 for 3 bottles of beer.

People currently flipping NES Classic consoles for profit have suddenly found their next "project".

I'll stick with $10 4 packs of Central Waters BBS now....

A little more expensive (maybe? 3 bottles would be 50.7oz) than 2015 "Rare" really isn't that nuts. I'd rather they get the money than people on MBC myself. Not that these beers won't go for much much more.

I thought we had a lot of posts saying TG SHOULD charge more for their beers given the demand and ridiculous resale prices. Now they do and people are complaining?

Dark Lord Variants, Bourbon County Rare, Side Project stouts, probably a bunch more I'm forgetting. Also, there are plenty of people that thought paying $15 for a BCBS snifter was worth it.

I would rather give a bit more money to TGB than several hundred dollars to some jerk with better luck for one bottle. Not that I'm going to win anyways!

I'm predicting a lot of no-shows after winners are announced and the reality of the price tag sets in. I agree with a previous commenter that winners should pay up front or forfeit to a second chance redraw. If I win, I'll pay up, but the wifey will be a hard sell on this one. If we both win then God have mercy....lol

BTW, any updates on what ever happened to the alleged Assassin variants that were said to be coming this year?

I've never been one of those people for the record. I've never understood it. You can find that mentality on almost every "rare" beer forum. It's mind boggling. Be careful what you wish for is coming to mind right now.

Im still amazed how tight lipped people stayed...I mean I see the motivation of staying quiet, 9 bottles vs 3

And if not that, the reality of mid-January traveling + weather. Maybe something not everyone is considering, but something I sure am.

Yah, but like, uuuuuh big hugs isn't barrel aged. And it's not that rare bro. And there's like thousands of bottles. And it sees distro. And half acre isn't in the middle of nowhere. Jeez
