So, I have my keezer fully assembled, but I am getting a significant leak where the wingnut attaches to the shank (over the tailpiece). And, yes, I am using rubber gaskets. It "appears" to be coming out of the inside of the wingnut closest to the collar and not down by the rubber gasket itself. I tried two different shanks on my four shank system and both of them are leaking badly. I'm assuming that all four of them are probably leaking. Should I be using plumber's tape there since it is metal on metal threads? It's a fairly significant leak. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Silly question - where is the washer - is it between the tail piece and shank, or between the tailpiece and wing nut? You do not use teflon tape on these connections.

I have the rubber stopper between the tailpiece and wingnut. I'll try it the other way when I get home.

That's why it is leaking. The washer goes between the tailpiece and the shank, the wing nut then creates the seal by compressing the tailpiece / washer / shank together.

Yep, big "duh" moment for me. Thanks!
