Made dinner quick and easy and even cheated a little. Beer & kraut braised bratwurst sammich, coleslaw, Checker's/Rally's fries. Satisfying.

Trillium Dialed In DIPA with Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer Juice. An extremely interesting DIPA. The juicy hops balance out the dryness from the grapes. One of the more complex DIPA's I've had in some time.

 

I feel like this isn't talked about enough, as I've seen it occur with every Milkshake I've had, so I'm just going to post it here for fun.

First half of the can is fairly clear, only two days after being jostled like a mother in transit courtesy of FedEx.



And this second pic is simply emptying the rest of the can into the glass after sipping enough off the top to make room. Same. Exact. Can.



It's crazy how much different these Milkshakes are after a full pour. They were pouring Guava at the Shelton Brothers festival, out of cans, and for all of us that were getting the first half of the can, it almost looked like a pilsner, and wasn't very Guava tasting.

By the way, I couldn't accept that I'd gone to NYC multiple times this year and didn't have time to stop at Katz's deli, so I caved and ordered a crapload of it, even though I thought it would be a sub-par experience due to possible age and shipping. But it was fucking incredible. We've got a couple of pretty stellar places for corned beef and pastrami right here in Cleveland, but after tonight, I'm not sure anything can beat this magic! So thick yet juicy and delicate.



This mustard is killer and the kraut is crazy funky, not to mention the explosive pickles.
