Curiosity satisfied. This is better than I expected. I'd like a bit more chili and a bit less fudge, but I'm not complaining. Cheers!

I hate that "pint glass 14 oz" thing. I'm well aware of that since I've been selling restaurants and food and smallwares for 17 years. I've also cooked for a living for 16 years- in some very high end Italian restaurants. There are not many beers that pair with high acid tomato sauces. That type of cuisine needs a light bodied brew. Not trying to rain on your parade- it's for sure a adjunct laden brew. Personally I would take wine over beer. enjoy! and Cheers my friend

It's good. The Bourboun and maple come through well. Very good flavor and amazing, thick mouthfeel. My only complaint is it's so sweet it gets a little overpowering after a while. The 12% is very well hidden. Easily worth the price as a slow sipper. If it wasn't quite so sweet it would be outstanding.

I know @utopiajane mentioned in NBS her distaste for cinnamon in beers, but this is one of the only Sam Adams beers I look forward to, and wish came in larger packaged formats. This and the Holiday Porter which I can't believe they got rid of ! Anyhoo, enjoying while appropriately watching A Christmas Carol (Muppets version of course ). Cheers!

Monkish Ghetto Style Proverbs. Maybe my favorite beer name ever. The beer's damn good, too.

Sad to report but the sleep thing evades me. I have found that 10 to 12 beers guarantees me 8 to 10 hours sleep. Not a good practice, though. But it is what it is. Please do not copy this practice. Not good.

Splitting one of my KBS with my sister in law's boyfriend in honor of their engagement (as of yesterday). Be nice having a brother in law who likes to share great beer.
