No Founders Harvest this year??

Last year, my daily routine was to come home from a day of teaching and have 1 or 2 Harvest Ales and life was great until the case was gone.

 

I noticed you are in KC, please tell me Gomers mid town told you this bullshit... I used to go there 3-4 times a week buying bottles, and whenever I would ask about ANY seasonal/semi-limited release they would make up the most ridiculous stories.
Douchbag: "$102.35, please"
Me:"OK. Hey, do you know when BCBS is comming?"
Douchbag:"They stoped making BCBS When BUD bought GI"
Me:"Are you sure? I got some last year, and I think some people are seeing it now..."
Douchbag:"You must of got a fake bottle last year, NOBODY is seeing it now"

Then

Me: "Hey are we getting Shlafly* Pumpkin Ale?"
Douch:"No, They use bacon, and as we all know there is a bacon shortage right now, duhh.." or some other just plain stupid reason.
2 days later its all over.

I refuse to spend money where ill informed douchs say stuff like this to people. I realy dont think they are ill informed at all, I really dont know why some stores lie like this. If you want to lie to me tell me "Hell yeah, we better get it!" And even if they dont get it maybe Ill keep checking and find a beer I really enjoy to replace it and spend my money there...

 

Glad this is not true. My heart skipped a best when I read this. I love this beer.

 

Thank God this rumor has been put to rest. It wouldve been too much after hearing no Bells Cherry Stout.

I just grabbed a 4-pack this morning from Woodman's in Kenosha, WI. It is behind the counter and the guy said it came in yesterday. Bottling date on neck is 10/4/12; $9.99+tax and limit of 1 4-pack per person. Appeared to be about 2 cases worth, fwiw...
