Beachwood Brewing & Blendery - Q4 2016

They had the Long Beach 5th Anniversary earlier this year, this is the original location's 10th. I understand what you're saying as they should celebrate as a whole, but they're keeping it separate entities.

 

Every night looks like a party. Just got back from SF & Cellarmaker. Orange Julian should be on Friday night. Hope they bring RD and Mo Citra. I brought back 2 growlers of RD and 1 of Mo Citra, but when I got home I noticed the Mo Citra was not. Permanent Daylight was on the tag. PD was just as good as MC. Oh well. Nice to hear Kyle back for one night over at SB. Don't think we'll ever see BW brew a hazy dankness beer. But they will serve it. And why not? Congrats to 10 years of BWSB

 

Yes SB is small. But it'll be a throwback to the days when there was only BWSB. Some nights you'd have to wait 1-3 hours to get in. Thats what makes this location so different. Just wish the old crew was back serving the food and beers behind the bar. It's not the same with the new peeps.

 

Looks like some of Monks beers are already on the hop cam as on for pours. Might as well get this sh!te show started. It's going to be a long 10 days of BWmadness.

Dropped into Seal Beach around 1245 and ponied up to the bar. It was the emptiest I've seen it at lunch. Pretty much all of the monkish stuff was still on. Celestial Fuzz was delicious. The Blendery's Seal Beach Special was the show-stopper, though. Absolutely fantastic. I hope most of the Cellarmaker stuff is available tomorrow

 

I think Orange Julian will tap out tonight. Undecided if I'm heading there in an hour or so. Or wait till tomorrow for lunch and see whats left. I still got a growler of RD I can open tonight.

Fou Foune didn't even last an hour last night. Place was packed and the tap list was spectacular. Looks to be a whole new crew for the most part but service and food were as good as ever.

 

When I left last night around 9:25, Desay Deux, Lucybelle, Still Supplication and many other great beers from monkish, Noble and Cellarmaker were still flowing.

 

I didn't think anyone lined up for Beachwood beers anymore. That's a great thing!

 

There is also no limit which, to me, means there is plenty of beer

 

I left work early to beat the lines for the Mocha Machine release...there was none. I love it. Not gonna take any chances with Tovarish, though.

 

No line at the LB location. Also, Orange Julian is awesome.

 

It's weird. Was at the Mocha Machine release last summer. Long line. Was at the System of a Stout release this year. Long line. Now that they're making more beer, the lines magically disappear? Especially shocked that Mocha Machine finally sold out this week at LB. It's a good thing for us Beachwood fans. Waiting in lines is a young man's game.

 

People probably realize the beer is going to last so they can go in whenever they want instead of having to rush over on a work day to get bottles.

 

I suspect they made a lot of Mocha Machine this time around. Like two or three times as much given availability. Good on them.
