I stopped by Saturday night. My favorite was the IPA ,sun gazer. The sours were great, my favorite of the bunch was the one aged in wine barrels.
    I definitely plan on returning!

This sounds so good. SdlC is crazy good by itself.

Yup, I'm definitely going to try and score an extra bottle if they become available. Although, I was sort of hoping the mystery end of year bottles was their de garde collaboration

Ha. That would've been nice for sure. Good thing we'll still get a first shot at that next year!

I'm really looking forward to my membership starting in the new year. These guys seem to be doing great stuff and running a great club. Happy holidays everyone!

So what happens to the gift beer that is still being made, will it just roll over to next year and be available for purchase? Does the Berry SDLC just seem like a consolation prize?

Keep in mind....it's a gift. It's free. Be grateful they are giving us another beer. I'm happy to have either bottle as a free beer. Everything they have made has been nothing short of exceptional. I don't think there should be any reason to complain or be picky about which free beer they are giving us.

Would you prefer they give us a beer that isn't up to their high standards? or something quality that they approve of and are still willing to give to you for free?

I don't have a problem with it. The end of membership gift was never said to be an additional beer when it started. Changing the gift beer to one that will be ready in a more reasonable time frame is very reasonable.

2017 here I come. Caught on about a month late for the last membership but been a loyal customer ever since. Trying to cut back on buying so much beer for 17 but really excited to be a part of Casa's 2017 mebership.

I hope you don't feel that the beer we are substituting (mixed berry saison) is a consolation prize. Some beers take a longer time to bottle condition than others. Releasing our intended gift (champagne room) at this time would be irresponsible since the beer is not done bottle conditioning.

The new beer sounds much better than champagne room anyway, at least for my preferences :stuck_out_tongue:

I signed up for 2017 Membership, and have nothing at this point but my receipt email. I know that it takes time (not sweating it), but confirming if any communications have gone out for the current year? Would the email suffice to get growler fills/discount, etc?

    Cheers and thanks!

Thanks! Dropped by the brewery tonight and had no issues, it'll get squared away.

    Cheers!

Excited for my first chance to buy a CASA beer! This one sounds pretty darn good...

    Bayas de la Casa.

Bayas de la Casa ages our Saison de la Casa from the foeder on a blend of whole marionberries, black raspberries and boysenberries. Following several months of re-fermentation Bayas was back blended to the preferred balance with fresh saison and one-year old barrel aged Saison de la Casa. 750ml/7.4% abv.
