Carton Brewing (January 2017)

I'd still say no. It went very fast and usually I have no issue getting it at the brewery. That was my original point. Hey, it worked out anyway so let's move on.

Getting together with my family today and opening 3 variants for dessert. Cafe y Churro, Irish Coffee and Cafe Corretto. Psyched for that. I'll post findings.

 

To a neutral, this came across as petulance masked as clarification.

Put simply BA is a tool many people use and this is a forum open to the public. As direct and simple as that conversation was months or years from now if some one searches BA fourums for "odub cost" they will hit that post not necessarily with all it's context. In the interest of that clarity for everyone I wrote a simple couple word clarification on what the beer that is called "o'dub" costs. That was met poorly so I tried to 1 establish why I would be the guy to clarify and 2 do so with some humor. Like I said no big deal but definitely wasn't intended to be perceived as sulking. Sorry

 

fwiw I thought the clarification was necessary and justified. It certainly can't hurt to know exactly how much things cost for people traveling from far way, especially straight from the brewer/owner's mouth(keyboard).

 

Haha yes it was VITAL to let everyone know the price I WOULD have paid had I bought the version of Odub that is not currently at the brewery instead of my simple answer to the guy's question asking what I paid. You're right.

 

Really don't think it's that big a deal tbh. And both posts are better than a vague link to beermenus or something. I like forthright verified information

I'm actually doing both right now. I can't say I'll be relaxed in about an hour once the Giants game starts though. And who says some back and forth on here means people are angry? I for one enjoy debating and even arguing sometimes.

Of course the big takeaway from this week that should make us all happy is the abundance of extremely tasty beer in cans from both Carton and Kane. Carton on Friday, Kane today, no lines, just great beer. Who needs those lines and tolls going to and from Brooklyn?

Between Carton and Kane I need to take a day off of work just to keep my beer drinking current

 

Late to the party. I just cracked my first can of regular coffee and it is ridiculously good. I love the taste of coffee.

 

Anyone see any can deliveries in the ocean county area this week? Need me some boat

 

If I came on here and agreed all the time I'd be bored and I'd find something else to do. I can disagree and stand firm on an opinion and not be butt hurt about it the next day. Not that I try to argue but I agree it's healthy.

@augiecarton - was (pleasantly) surprised to see IDIPA hit some of my local shops in NY... is this a special treat of some sort, or something that we can expect to see (semi-)regularly?

 

Anyone spot IDIPA in NNJ yet?

How much were the stores near you charging? Store near me is charging $16.99 + tax. I passed. I love Carton but I believe the cans at the brewery are $12?
