Other Half Brewing January 2017!

Heard the Anniversary release will be mid-feb as they are waiting for the expansion to be complete.

 

Y'all don't forget (like I almost did) that Haymaker event tonight with Burial- taps go on at 5PM! Hope you brought your umbrellas.

 

Oh man I forgot about that! Guess Ill have to hit up Three's or Proletariat.

 

How is Haymaker with kids? Going in to see the Ranger game tonight and seeing this makes me want to grab a beer there first. My son is 11.

 

Opened one last night. Malty syrup drain pour. Everything else lately has been excellent. Is it our palates evolving or the beer devolving? Likely the former.

 

I've only been once and there was a concert or some non-sports event at MSG and it was pretty packed. Can't remember if there were families there that night or not.

 

I went to an Other Half takeover at Blind Tiger a while back and it was likely the most unpleasant bar experiences I've had - far too crowded, far too many rude drunk people spilling and sloshing beer everywhere. I'm hoping Haymaker isn't like that tonight.

 

I want to think it's our palates but I still have "west coast" style favorites that I still enjoy to this day. BTW syrupy is a good way to describe the 2 I had the other night. I have one can left in my fridge and I'm in no rush to drink it. Maybe I'll let it age lol

 

Idk I still drink plenty of west coast style IPAs that Arent of the hazy juicy type and think they are still great. I had GD in October and it was delicious. This batch is basically syrup with a stale candy hop flavor.

 

Haymaker is fine for kids. There's an area in the back with tables that's more restaurant vibe than bar.

 

I couldn't agree more. Gd was my favorite rotating beer from OH. And I could barely finish the can. Glad I only got a 4 pack.

 

That may be, I was under the impression the beer drops next week and the anniversary party is on hold until the expansion is done.

 

Where is the Friday Takeover, I saw it on the board when I was there this past Sunday but forget now. That's with Burial as well right? I am going to be in the city Friday and want to check that out

Just left Haymaker. Had Juicebar, Massacre, Green Socks (for recon), and Skiillet. Unfortunately had to pound and dash.

All was delish, the standout being Massacre.....

Lot of Kane hats in the house.

 

Yeah, I pounded and dashed like no other due to the crowd - really enjoyed Juice Bar and Massacre was also excellent - some unusual notes there. Looking forward to the Threes event.

 

Initial reviews for Green Socks look pretty promising.

 

This will, most likely, be a pretty quiet release
