Extreme Beer Fest: Boston 2017 (Survival Thread)

I think last year it started at 12 as well (first time)

 

Must have been why I ended up so drunk last year. My pacing was all off.

My mistake. Double checked my tix from last year and, you're right, started at 1

 

Anyone in line yet?

 

Was talking about the fest with a friend at work and he went on the site and asked if I was going to the noon or 6pm session. Gave him a quizzical look and checked my ticket. "Well I'll be damned" followed by rapid texts sent to the group I go with every year. That would have sucked.

 

We've been monitoring form our hotel window. Haha...Looks about 6 people currently on line.

 

thats what i'll be doing tomorrow for the afternoon session..are you staying across the street at the seaport hotel?

 

We are at the renaissance about a block down. Line is about 20 deep now.

 

What's everyone's thoughts about the after party or non-festival events tonight?

 

I wish I was there this year

 

And I would like to acknowledge that I kept on thinking THE Rare Barrel would be listed under "R" for Rare Barrel, and that was why I kept on missing them #AlphabetChallenged

 

Any thoughts on standout beers from lesser known breweries?

 

I heard other half ran out of beer in 90min

 

That is true. If not earlier. I got a pour of DDH Space Diamonds at 6:20 and went back for something different before 7:30 and they were out. Good news is that the Space Diamonds may have been the best beer I had tonight.

Pretty much all of the highly sought after breweries completely ran out of beer. I was a little surprised at that.
