So are they out for the rest of the fest, or will they have some for the sessions tomorrow? Anyone know?

Looks like 3 Floyds did too. Real kicker is they posted it on Instagram like a badge of honor.

Unacceptable in my opinion. Alstroms take notice.

So they DID bring Last Buffalo? They kept switching between that and Last Snow on the official line up.

How was the coat check? Is it possible to come into the event with a coat, then check your coat in after having a few beers? Basically I don't want to wait in a line immediately after getting into the event.

That's what I did last year. No worries. Go grab the must have beers and then go do the coat check.

From a crowd-distribition perspective, last year's event had the unintended benefit of Tree House occupying a huge chunk of the crowd with their snake-line that probably took ~ 30-minutes to get through. Not the case this year, so more people in more lines. As BAs have said - Other Half, FFF and Funky Buddha had the longest lines, and Kane ran out of ANTEAD unfortunately.

Don't miss Firestone Walker and their tequila barrel Velvet Merkin. My god. FFF's gin barrel IPA was un-fucking real,

This is what my plan was but even with winter coats on it was always pretty comfortable inside

FFF seems to be notorious for this. Eff those guys, after a bad experience at their tap room a couple of years ago crossed them off my EBF list right away.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Tree House lasted pretty much the entire length of each session last year right? I mean, sure some beers kicked, but they had at least something to pour.

If they can bring enough beer to last through this fest, why can't three floyds?

Maybe I wasn't paying full attention to the time some of this stuff ran out but I don't think it was quite as bad as the above makes it sound. A lot of the more hyped beers ran out in the first half, but I didn't really see any of the breweries run out entirely until close to the end.

I had a second pour of Great Notion Blueberry Muffin I thought at least two hours in, Jackie O's was still pouring as the event closed, Funky Buddha still had one beer last time I walked by (~8:30+)... Not having Tree House to suck in 400 people at once meant there were more longish lines than years past, but things moved quickly for the most part and just about every brewery was still pouring good stuff late into the evening. 2 years ago Hunahpu kicked in 15 minutes. I didn't personally witness anything even half as bad this time.

This was my first EBF. My highlights of the evening:
    • Getting in was pretty easy. Got there 25 min early and it was pretty smooth sailing. There was still a wait, but nothing too long.
    • Coat check had a line so it was definitely worth getting a few beers first before dropping off the coat.
    • Beer lines weren't too bad. Funky Buddha, 3Floyds, praire, Great Notion, were a few of the lines that were really long, but moved quickly.
    • Hands down the best brewery there was Great Notion. I hadn't heard or had any if their beers before and the blueberry muffin and double stack were just outstanding. I asked if it were possible to mix the two, lo and behold, that makes their blueberry pancakes beer and it blew me away. I went to them twice. Do not miss them.
    • Lots of good beer. Some standouts that you might not have otherwise considered: otter Creek salted popcorn gose, proclamation, Jackie OS Oro Blanco, and four quarters brewing had a lot of good beers.
    • Low-lights: I was in the first 10% of the people in and funky Buddha was already out of last snow when I got in. I think that's just ridiculous. Prairie didn't bring Pirate Paradise or there was some shipping error or whatever. That was one I was really looking forward to since I love their beers.
    • I missed out on barrel aged world wide stout (kicked as I was waiting in line for it) in the chaos of all the great beers so if that's on your list keep that in mind. The pudding wine was pretty good considering I had no idea what it would taste like.
    • Food was very good. I wish I had room to have them all, but the waffles and brisket sandwich were both great.
Thats all I have! Great event!
