I got there at 2:20 last week and was fine. There was a decent sized line. I don't know where I was in terms of allotment. The line was smoothly run.

Yeah could probably get there at 4 and get beer, the only one I think will sell fast is the DIPA. That said, if you want the DIPA, I'd get there at like 230 if you don't mind waiting.

I also don't know how many cases are available this week, they didn't post that info.

How has Saturday been shaking out? Growlers only, right? Do they last most of the day? Don't want to stand out in the cold, but it's a hike so don't want to strike out either..

Did the cans sell out yesterday? I assume Johann did for sure they didn't post anything saying everything was sold out like they have the past couple weeks.

Cracked a can last night. it was interesting... had the hop and malt bill of a DIPA but low abv. Tasted a little sweet for my liking.

I went last weekend around 12PM, walked in to fill my growlers and was the only person in there. You should be fine, but I wouldn't wait until 3PM or anything like that.

Just stopped by. I guess they opened a little bit early, I was in at 10:50 and out with a growler by 10:55. There were maybe 5-6 other people there. I'm sure it has a lot to do with the beers available and to a lesser extent the Ruse release in Richmond, but it was a very refreshing experience for me.

It's not that dark at all, more of an orange color. Not really a fan of it, it's a session beer that I wouldn't want to session if that makes sense. Pretty full mouthfeel with an overly sweet finish, almost syrupy. Doesn't work for a 4% beer, imo, I might enjoy it more if they upped the ABV to 5-5.5%.

Wow so yeah, that Schooner "session" IPA tatses like they went to brew a double IPA and just didn't pitch nearly enough yeast. I'm not really liking it.

    My thoughts exactly.

So do you mean under-attenuated/too sweet, or are there other notes that accompany under-pitching/stressed yeast?

Its an extreme example of an under-attenuated beer. I could only drink one glass of the growler I bought, it was a waste of $20.

How was the Gose w/ Apricot? Some of the pictures of the beer actually look pretty disgusting. Looks like chicken stock with yeast particles floating in it.

Was the puree floating, I still enjoyed it. I really did not like the schooner, it was a bit sweet for me.

I liked Schooner a lot, and I normally don't like session IPAs. I couldn't get past the chunks in the Gose, but it tasted great. Then again I hate orange juice with pulp, so there's that.

I thought Gose was awesome. Fruit wasn't overdone. See earlier post for my thoughts on schooner. Yuck.

Someone on FB is asking Aslin about leaving chairs as placeholders at tomorrow's release, I hope it doesn't come to that BS.
