The peach definitely doesn't overpower the hops. If anything the peach flavor is a bit too light. The Black IPA was very solid (and that's a style I'm not a huge fan of) but the German IPA is my favorite of the three new beers. Different but very good IMO. And you can never go wrong with Torpedo.

Why was Ruthless Rye not in this pack? Are there any plans to bring it back later this year or next year?

    @sierranevadabill?

    Thanks.

I really liked this pack as the sum of its parts. I always enjoy a Torpedo and a Black IPA. The German IPA is very different but I enjoy it and I expected to hate the Peach IPA but it was nice and refreshing. I don't like the all fruit juice IPA thing and this one didn't overwhelm with peach at all. I will definitely buy another 12 pack.

Ruthless didn't make the cut for this year's pack, and we don't have plans for that beer at all this year. In the summer pack (Party Pack) we're doing a beer called River Ryed, which is similar to Ruthless with a lower ABV.

I had been meaning to revisit Torpedo since I haven't had it in years so I was excited to see it added to this pack. I thought the other 3 were solid offerings with the Black IPA being the best. For those worried about the Peach IPA, it was not too sweet or "peachy" tasting. I figured my wife could drink those if I didn't like them but I ended up drinking all of the them.

On a side note, I recently did a mix-six of the Tropical Torpedo, Sidecar, and Golden IPA (2 of each) I thought their Golden IPA was by far the best of the three and one of the best beers I've had from SN in a while.

We've got plans for a draught-only release of kolsch, but no bottles version.

Canned 12 packs would be OK instead.

But seriously though - what's the issue with the Kolsch at SN? Worried it's too subtle and obscure a style for the market? It's a great beer, I just don't understand why it's never given a chance. I'm sure it would do better than nooner and Otra vez

Some Brewers should concentrate on making 1-2 stellar brews instead of 6 that aren't. There's a few that fit.

I picked this pack up recently and Torpedo ended up being my least favorite (but I have never been in love with it) and I thought that they were all done pretty well and interesting enough and it was worth the purchase.

Crummy search function but whatever. I just had the Black IPA and will review shortly but wanted to weigh in here. Absolutely best dark ale I have ever had. Exceptionalism for SN. Bravo.

Speaking of SN, any chance for the Vienna Lager to have higher profile in the lineup?

I think a lot of us would like to see some SN non-IPAs get more attention but craft beer drinkers seem to only care about IPAs.
That all said I have a few beers left from the latest 4way pack I bought - really liked each of them. Nice easy drinking IPAs

Hmm... I had a chance to try it on draught, but I passed on it and now it's gone. I do like most of the black IPAs I've had - particularly Wookie Jack (RIP), Project PAM and Nightime.

What the SN one in the similar vein or did they do something different?

This was a solid mix pack. I stocked the cooler up for this at a party thinking there would be a lot left for me (BMC crown), but that wasn't the case. The Peach was the first to go, the Black was the last one. I thought the Peach and the German were the best of the bunch. There was a whole lot of BMC left in the cooler.

Their Golden IPA was one of my biggest surprises of the year so far for any brewery. So refreshing, crisp & CLEAN. Wish it was a year round offering.

This beers are like SN's normal offerings: bland California yeast, uninspired, mainstream. There is nothing interesting, just a glass full of meh.

Had the Peach IPA last nite and feel the same as many on here. Not peachy at all and kinda musty in a not bad way. The German and Black IPA were excellent and Torpedo is always good every so often.
