Other Half Brewing February 2017

Just cracked a citra motueka. To me this tastes exactly what I would expect it too. Citra plus the lovely melon flavor motueka puts forth. Seriously loving this.

 

Had my first can of Citra+Motueka tonight. Definitely dark in color but I found it absolutely delicious

 

actually hard to imagine this citra motueka oxidizing after two days in the can, it does seem to have the off color and muted flavors that I have experienced with oxidization and improper storage, if thats intended then Im just not a fan

 

This Citra+Motueka has a certain flavor I couldn't put my finger on last night but I think I know what it is. When I was a kid my mom would get these canned fruits for dessert. This beer has an aftertaste that reminds me of the sugary syrup taste of del monte fruit cocktail. I think the colorful label subconsciously reminded me of it!

 

Was there really an 11 hour wait?

 

Some guy (unnecessarily) slept in his car outside the brewery the night before.

Any word on this Saturday's cans yet?

 

Doesn't really indicate if there will be more cans. Wonder if this is the only one.

 

DDH ACE & Throw Some Mo are listed on the keg email so possibly those? I could be wrong since the barrier collab is a double batch.

I feel like it's a minor troll on all of us for throwing so much money at them and beer in general. Not mad about it.

On that note, I am actually hoping it's only the 1 can this weekend. My fridge and wallet need a break.
