HopHands is 8.50 at Union Transfer, so I'd imagine all the new special beers are gonna be way more than that. :slight_frown:

And I'm pretty sure the cups are more like 12 oz fills, not 16 oz, which makes the pricing worse. Still, way better selection than any larger music venue. Not $10 for a Sierra Nevada or Sam Adams.

Plus I would think that St. Fiver would be on tap at the Café at some point.

I'd imagine that it's a Tired Hands beer event with music and not a concert with Tired Hands beer on tap.

I would be wary at making assumptions on pricing and glassware.

I'm interested in the music at least as much as the beer. Never heard of two of the groups but I love Baroness and think it'll be a sweet combo.

I absolutely love Baroness and Pallbearer, so much so that I am legit looking into to flying in from CO to attend. It would be my fourth time seeing Baroness, but first time for Pallbearer and first trip to Tired Hands...

I assume w/ the pilsener that there's a good chance to show up around 6-6:30 and get both. (Depending on yield/alottments).

I would think so, unless the yield on the DIPA is very low. Plus they had a milkshake on Sunday so I think this one will be very light.

I have legit never heard of these bands but then again it's not the type of music I listen to.

Both of those bands are pretty big draws themselves so I think that it is awesome that Tired Hands was able to pair with them. I hope that they do some kind of special pricing that night for the Birth Day since otherwise it's pretty typical concert / event drink fare.

Who knows, I am pretty damn excited for both the music and the beer.

TH has done Pallbearer/Baroness collab beers in the past. I'd imagine those will come back for this. The Baroness one was Purple!

I say 6:30 still gets both, only three chairs and three people on cricket, myself included

Prima pils is the gold standard IMO, love trendler but yea doesn't make sense to but it with beers like prima sitting in stores.

Sent my dad to go pick up some Scythe. Literally drew him a treasure map of the interior of Tired Hands to get to the can line behind the bar.

I personally appreciate that Tired Hands is willing to brew Pilsners (Trendler Pils) and Helles (Helles other People). I enjoy drinking these beers on draft. Why they think they can charge the prices they do for these canned beers considering the beers and prices from other local breweries (e.g., Sly Fox, Victory, Stoudts, Neshaminy Creek,…) is perplexing to me.

I do not want Tired Hands to stop making these beers but the prices they are charging is out of whack considering the local competition.

    Cheers!

Pricing will come down when they stop selling out? Even then how long would it take for it to sit before they rethink their pricing?

Picked up my allotment today. Found a Scythe is a really great beer - on par or better than their galaxy single hop, which is one of my favorite. I feel like a lot of people may have skipped out on this release, which is unfortunate.

I couldn't bring myself to pay $15 for a 4-pack of Trundler Pils when I could brew 5 gallons of a nice german pilsner for $20-25. And using saflager 34/70 at 66F (per brulosophy's recommendation) produces great beer and makes my turn around time only around 7-10 days.

There's no way the raw material/labor cost for their pilsner can be anything close to the price they're charging unless they're lagering for an extended amount of time and tying up equipment (even then its no excuse). Pilsner/Helles are two of my favorite types of beers so I'm kind of bummed that Tired Hands charges so much for their lagers.
