Minnesota "NE style" IPA's

You're making me regret not stopping at Townhall last night, yum.

 

I knew it was barrel week, but I was coming back from Fogo. I think eating or drinking anything else would've caused me to explode. Maybe tonight

 

Sometimes that is just the price you have to pay for good beer!

 

Somehow I knew this was the way i'd go out, me exploding from drinking too much.

 

You really need to try Disgruntled and Forager.

Black Stack Brewing New England IPA

I tried this yesterday and it was spectacular! It took them 9 months of making this style on a pilot brewery before the general public will get to try this ale.

 

Foarger is brewing Decent again and should be out soon. IMO its the best offering in the genre that they have made so far.

 

Anyone had lupulin blissful ignorance?

 

Yes - had it at the brewery last night and its solid. I also got a 4 pk of 12 oz cans for $9. Great price!

 

Where can one get four packs? Brewery only?

I picked up one at Princeton's in MG, which isn't listed.

On my way to the brewery now to try it at the source.

I just had a few, I felt it is good, but not true NE (Trillium, Tree House, ect...) good. Not exactly damn good for me.

I agree with @Mplsmetro57, Blissful Ignorance is solid.

 

Haven't gotten into the style yet. I'm heading down to Winterfest in a few hours. Is there going to be one there I should make sure to try?

 

Blissful Ignorance isn't even close to a NE style IPA. Their beer Batch 100 or "Hooey" is though.

Batch 3? of Blissfull Ignorance with the apricot pulp with terrible. Two was ok. The final recipe or now just "Blissful Ignorance" is outstanding.

 

Thanks for the list, I snagged a four pack at Ale Jail. This is a damn good double, and hides the alcohol real well.
