Yes. Around 500 TSM and 250 DDH ACE.

 

At first DGD was pretty damn good but once you let the beer warm up it becomes apparent its not any better than the last batch of GD. It's slightly masked by the obvious change of yeast (london ale yeast II most likely) but underneath its extremely bitter with a really off putting candy flavor and heavy malt presence.

 

Color me crazy, but this sounds nuts. I just don't see either beer pulling enough FOMO to run out that early. Just a guess, but DDH ACE lasts until at least 12 or 1, and Throw until Sunday. There is just too much great stuff being released with frequency (LIC, Interboro, Sand City, Finback) to assume people are still maxing out at OH every release.

 

Tomorrow's forecast: DDH ACE sells out a little before noon, Barrier collab lasts until about 5:00

Just arrived (8:45), line has turned onto smith street, about 10 people deep on smith

 

Guess I got that coming my way!

 

Line isn't even half way to Ganett, this feels like it will be smooth. Last release I lined up for (NYE release), by 9 am the line was almost to Court Street

 

So why is this less hyped than any of their other recent collabs? Barrier seemed to have a pretty good following a year ago and Make it Rain was really good. It can't just be because of other local options because some weeks the line is insane.

 

Just got 10 minute heads up to line opening. Woot!

 

I would likely say because Barrier had their own release this week w/OH.
