Pretty solid demand for their non-gose lower ABV releases - Crucial Shredder this week and the pale ale a few weeks ago. I'm hoping they continue to offer hoppy ales in the ~5-6% range (in addition to their outstanding DIPAs).

I'm surprised they sold as much as they did yesterday honestly, compared to last week especially. I'm wondering if it really has to do with dropping a 5%er after last two weeks (DIPAx2, DIPAx2). CS was clearly the draw but Broznies sold almost as much. Weird.

Next week tho, probably some sort of nuts release. If not Trill, then peach Gose, or Trill+Gose (just a guess btw, some folks on BTV concur apparently).

I scheduled something in Richmond for Tuesday March 14th with the intention of hitting The Veil afterwards for cans. Then yesterday they posted an Instagram story of a green beer, and I realized that Tuesday will be the week of St. Patricks day. I'm pretty pissed about that now, for one I hate green beer, for two that week will probably draw a big crowd.

I agree with this and felt the same way. That is going to be a silly release if it is green beer canned in time for St. Paddy's. Maybe (just maybe) they'll do a pilot batch and it'll be tap only on the 17th? Green beer seems gimmicky, even more so than other things they've done.

I didn't think about it being a pilot batch, I really hope that's what it is.

Ouch, line was 35 people deep when they opened this afternoon.

Currently planning to be in the area next Tues as we're on spring break so kind of hoping this isn't some super hyped up release.

The Trillium collab is coming sooner rather than later, and it'll have been a month since a Gose. Good news if you're on break though, you can hang out in line a bit if it's something you really want and isn't gonna last.

I think many people have Extra Kreme and Never Meant pegged to be released next week since someone caught that it's what Veil is bringing down to Huna Day. If not next week then definitely the 14th but I don't see that happening. In either case Veil just loves dropping the collab and Gose cans together for complete chaos.

Man, that is an epically detailed summary. I love it. It's Forever Summer on steroids. I feel like announcing 150 pair of tickets on sale for that Saturday AM this far out means that line will form crazy early. I'm not sure if I can go (or will get tix for that matter) but if this follows Forever Summer it will be run perfectly and will be a great time relaxed vibe.

This was always going to be a ticketed event.

Ah ok. I just figured that the tone of "don't worry, you're guaranteed a pour of these" referred to how most of the desirable Veil beers kicked almost immediately during the Trillium thing.

Ah yeah, the wording might very well be because of that. But like with Forever Summer they're gonna be allowing single pours of the beers included with the ticket, once you have that beer you can't go get it again so not like someone can walk up and get 4 NNFF or whatever. I liked the system.

Finally getting around to read all the details. So if I'm reading this right the only difference in the $60 regular ticket and the $150 VIP is you get to pre-pay for your allotment and it will be ready "without having to wait in line" when you leave? I could be wrong but if there's 100 VIPs per session then I'm guessing there will be a line for them as well even if some take advantage of the early pick up. Not worth the extra $90 IMO

I think the extra $90 is your pre-pay.

Based on the quoted prices, the total cost of a full allocation of beer is $106. So it seems like the "general admission" ticket price for VIPs is subsidized by $16 if you buy up front/get the VIP ticket. Not a ton of savings, but if you know you're going to buy one of each, it makes sense to me...unless I'm missing something.
