My wife got me this Lego / Big Bang Theory kit for Christmas, finally put it together....pretty neat actually

Making a lamb stew today, so figured I'd start with a porter.

My last No. 3 Flander's Nouveau Rouge from Evolution. Think this is from 2013. No. 7 is coming out soon. And the stock is rolling for my wild rice, mushroom, spinach and chicken soup.

All right, BAs. I booked my trip to Boston in July, so for almost 8 months I've been planning, scheming and salivated over the web pages of Trillium, Row 34, Lord Hobo and many more. Well, tomorrow is the day! Flying business class (that's right, two 70 lb bags allowed), and staying at a classy hotel will leave me poor, but hopefully happy. Will also visit Burlington, and I hope to cross of plenty of whales during the week. Cleaning out my fridge to make room, and found this guy. Yes, I got the whole damn bomber into that snifter!

I'm sure I will, both Boston and Burlington strike me as the kind of place I'll like. And hell, I only spend money on travel, beer, and music. The two first go hand in hand!

Sunny and windy here, about 77 degrees. Time for some Green Man Porter to be followed by The Dark Truth.

Founders' Lizard of Koz, as a start up the WFO on a cold, bright day...-nearly opaque bottle pour with tan cap. The aroma includes cocoa and fruit and a bit of wood. The flavor is dominated by very sweet berry syrup. Vanilla and a bourbon influence are detectable. The body is very smooth. This is much sweeter than I would prefer for this style.[IMG]

24h shift yesterday, VERY rough night. I feel like I earned a big beer.

Incredibly delicious. Developing interestingly with the Brett. Definitely more noticeable with a year on it. I think I prefer it fresh with more subtle Brett notes but it is still fantastic.

Paired with a egg white, sharp cheddar, and sage/thyme chicken sausage breakfast sandwich on ciabatta finished with black IPA jelly.

Beer share time. Lone Pine Chaga Stout, brewed with real chaga mushrooms. This is delicious. Lots of roast, vanilla, and earthiness. Plus it has antioxidants which means it's healthy, right?
