    Full round. Six pack.

April fools seems kind of close but April 7th is national beer day.

I do have a couple six shippers laying around. And some 12 shippers. And some rando boxes...

How about April 7-8-9 and 14-15-16 for a 6-shipper of wrapped beers?

Happy to run this round if no one else has got anything in the works.

@Mikexw - Any plans to run the next Locals round? If not, I'll take the ball and run with it for April...

You got it Dave. Sentiments after last round were to keep it a little smaller. Your 6 shipper plan sounds great!

    NBO - Locals Round 12

Because I love rounds which encourage drinking and discourage hoarding, I am pleased to announce the NBO for Locals Round #12.

Round #12 is open to all Locals and Lurkers in good standing, as well as anyone interested in seeing what The Locals are all about. New participants may be screened prior to acceptance into the round.

    The hard and fast rules don’t include anything crazy - in fact you might recognize most of them from previous rounds;
    • You will be assigned a target.
    • You will ship your target 6 wrapped beers for blind consumption. Multiple small beers on a given day are acceptable.
    • You may include a maximum of 6 extra beers (wrapped or unwrapped) for consumption at any time. Extras are not required, but who am I kidding…
    • You must include 1 piece of matching swag for one of your 6 wrapped beers (PGW, Brewery shirt, bottle opener, etc…)
    • Your target must consume the wrapped beers as specified by you on April 7th, 8th, 9th and 14th, 15th, 16th. Include the date of consumption on the wrapping paper, or at least “Day 1”, “Day 2”, etc…
    And because it wouldn’t be a Locals round without a bit of a twist, here are some suggested guidelines to follow for each wrapped bottle. These are not hard rules, merely suggestions - participation is encouraged but by no means required for these - feel free to follow some or all as you see fit;
    • April 7th - National Beer Day; Honor your target with a beer worthy of the repeal of prohibition.
    • April 8th - National Zoo Lovers Day; Send your target with a beer which includes an animal in the name or label artwork. Also acceptable - a beer from brewery with an animal in the name/logo, or animal included somewhere in the swag.
    • April 9th - National Cherish an Antique Day; No, this day isn’t about appreciating @Mipper, @Dave_Treat, and @smanson56. Wrap up an old beer and let your target enjoy it! “Old” is subjective, and may include any beer that you’ve been holding onto but isn’t necessarily “vintage”.
    • April 14th - National Pecan Day; While there’s not overly common to find pecans in a beer, other adjuncts are used all the time. Give your target a beer with adjuncts - bonus points for nuts… Pecans, peanuts, hazelnuts, coconuts… but any adjunct is acceptable. This is also Good Friday - so make it something good!
    • April 15th - National Tax Day; Many Americans will need to drown their sorrows after sending Uncle Sam a big ‘ol tax check. Send your target a big imperial stout. Imperial Russian Stout (IRS, lol) or otherwise.
    • April 16th - Easter / National Healthcare Decisions Day; Help your target celebrate escaping from behind a big rock, -or- Make some important healthcare decisions for them. Either an “easy” beer to make a good healthcare decision / light celebration, -or- a “big” beer as a poor healthcare decision / big celebration.
    Summary:
    Day 1 (April 7th):
Beer worthy the repeal of prohibition.
Day 2 (April 8th): Beer (or brewery) with an animal in the name or logo.
Day 3 (April 9th): Vintage or cellared beer.
Day 4 (April 14th): Beer with adjuncts.
Day 5 (April 15th): Imperial Stout.
Day 6 (April 16th): Dealer’s Choice - “Easy” low ABV beer, or “Big” high ABV beer.

    Details:
    • Sign-ups will run through Friday, March 10th.
    • Targets will go out by Monday, March 13th.
    • Boxes must be shipped & received by Thursday, April 6th (3.5 weeks from target assignments).
    • BM me by next Monday (3/13) to enter. BM title should be “Locals Round 12”.
    • Include any style or adjunct likes / dislikes. Specifically nuts (see April 14th).
    • If you have a specific target request, please include it and I’ll accommodate as many as I can.
    Cheers!

Yeah, sitting this one out. Cellar also running slim and don't really have the funds to go out and buy things to build a box. Will watch the box slinging from afar!

Alright Fam! It's Annual Haiti LIF time again! Here's the deal...This year we had some friends supply us with vitamins to take down to the various orphanages we partner with. I will be headed back down to Cap Haitian at the end of March to spend some time tutoring in the schools and scouting out some opportunities to partner with a clinic to provide free healthcare. It's an amazing experience and I can't wait to get back down there!

Here is how this is going to work...this is a pay-it forward LIF. The person who correctly answers the question wins. There will be a tie-breaker. You MUST nominate a pay-it-forward member of our great community. You BOTH will be receiving a box from me once I return home.

    So,...
    1. How many bottles of vitamins will we be taking with us?
    2. Tie-Breaker - How many football (soccer) jerseys have I collected to hand out?
    3. Who are you paying it forward to?

Easy enough? Be sure to reply to this post or tag me in your response.
