Chicago Stout Releases (2018)

Its KBS Week... so did Binny's announce their KBS release info yet... am I missing something?

 

Its usually the first week of April. Also curious to find out the exact date.

 

Watching the weather- potentially disastrous tropical storm hitting Madagascar. Could have major implications to vanilla crop with pricing already sky high due to lack of supply...get your vanilla stouts while you still can.

 

It hits distribution starting April 1. It was super easy to pick up a four pack through Binny's last year. Founders says production was upped this year.

 

I feel like KBS has become a year round beer. Within the past two months people had reported these on Binny's shelves and you can find them on draft frequently.

 

Cool, can expect to see it this week in the city then. I was waiting for this and Watch for Falling Coconuts from last year. Both are outstanding brews, but don't like the fact that there's now a BCS-esc hype where I'm battling to pick up some cans.

 

For those in the west burbs, Standard Market in Naperville just got a good amount of the HB Coffee Stout. Limit 1

 

HP Coffee Stout is worth picking up. I thought it was delicious and 17$ for 4 10% pints was fair IMO as well.

 

Too many breweries to follow...who is HP?

 

Has anyone seen the hop butcher coffee snifter available anywhere?

 

I only saw it at the beer cellar release.

Does anyone know if the majority of the Binnys locations still have Rare just sitting out in stacks available? I would assume it is still out there if one wanted a bottle or two? Thanks

 

A lot of the suburban locations still have it. I know for a fact that the Bloomingdale Binny's is sitting on 4+ cases of it

Just called binny in Bloomingdale and was told they sold out a few weeks ago??? Hmm....

 

Just called the binnys in Skokie, they in fact have a decent amount of rare left if anyone is interested..... $70 limit 2.

 

Thanks, they sold out fairly quickly I heard, nothing left. If anyone grabbed an extra I'd try to make it worth your while to give it up!

 

Unless they gave it to other locations, they had a stack in the back that was at least 4 deep. I saw it as early as last week so that news is surprising to me...

 

You gave the guy the guy info based on last week? Last week is like 5 years ago in the beer world.

 

Fair point. I just figured since that shipment of Rare dropped and went on sale I believe just before Christmas, that still seeing a stack of 4 cases in the back would mean they still have it. That blows my mind if it's actually all gone at the Bloomingdale location, maybe somebody snatched it all up
