DW is the best bar in the area, except on weekend afternoons when park slope moms swarm the place and strollers take over. For some reason also reminds me a lot of Prohibiton Pig. Cash only kinda sux tho but I cant be mad because their prices are always on point

Ouch, two cans came out to $14.47 at Eataly. Almost $7.25 each with tax and deposit.

yep, 7.99 pre-tax at food emporium... I can't think of any producer that really sells above $20 per 4pk of 16 oz cans...to be clear, we know it isn't Grimm pricing it this high, its a combo of the stores, scarcity factor, and demand by people like us chasing it... but at these prices you might as well just buy it on draft.

Draft will cost you twice as much at most bars.

8.50 for a can of Grimm from a supermarket is awful. Food emporium gouges all the limited beer they get in and it's awful. Vote with your wallet and don't shop there. It's pretty much up there with draft pricing (not ounce for ounce but close enough)

amen. food emporium is garbage - today they were making people buy 4packs of other stuff to get 1 dusty old can of Lambo. (depends on who's around apparently) last time I ever go there.

I don't understand why they hide it out back-the employees hate getting it too.

Thanks for the head's up. Grabbed a can this morning when they opened. Not sure how they get Grimm cans so quickly, but I'm not gonna question a good thing.

Just cracked it open now. Tasting very good, but it's still a bit green. Give this a week or two and it will most likely be magical. Guess I have to buy another can in the interest of science...

Having an Afterimage now. Definitely a solid, balanced beer, but less hop forward than I remember. Any one else have a similar experience?

On the other hand, my wife loves it.

Lupulin Threshold Shift  So many beers coming out now with lupulin powder, etc

don't worry we have some DDH beers coming up that will more balanced toward intensity -- capslock might also be more your style

Please don't put DDH on the label, I've just gotten used to not running around the city for a can! :stuck_out_tongue:
