I'm confident you can see the difference between buying an extra bottle or two for a friend & buying 75 crowlers. Pretty confident.

I'm pretty confident you can see it's not a big deal when this isn't super limited and didn't even sell out (still available...) and wasn't for profit and spread the wealth to a lot of people. A little confident.

Not Bignanner's fault he has so many friends. Probably because he does really nice things for other people.

Clearly the answer here is that Disgruntled needs to put more of this in kegs and drive it down to Ansari's and Grizzly's for us. And Reaper too!

Everyone overreacts on the internet. I think the issue could have been handled better if he didn't take offense and simply explained his motive, reasoning and results. True, everybody hates hoarders, but it appears that he was simply acting as distributer. First world problems...

OR... if snark first, ask questions later wasn't the rule for some people.

The point that everyone seems to be missing here is that this guy didn't clean them out of crowlers. You can still get some there today (as far as I know). Even being closed Monday and Tuesday, that's still Friday night, Saturday and Sunday that had crowlers available to anyone who wanted them. If this was a more limited release, and this guy cleaned them out or bought a huge chunk of them and denied locals their fill, then maybe I'd be upset. But that's not even remotely the case.

I've still yet to hear a local complain about this.

Be mad at Disgruntled for not having any limits. This guy followed the rules and by all accounts, did a big group of beer friends a solid by doing the driving for them.

Personal opinion; this was a stupid move by the brewery.

It's going to be stupid move when you can only get their beer to go from the 3 guys who go in and snap up the whole allotment.

How do I know they aren't showing up to clean out the shop in the 2-3 hours it takes me to drive there? I wouldn't personally make the trip if I couldn't bring some back.

Businesses totally shouldn't sell their product to someone that wants it. Truth. Would have been way smarter to limit him and have the crowlers sit around for days and days.

Does anyone know if Blackstack plans on continually changing Local 755, or if they will be different beers (different names), or if they are just dialing in the recipe? It would bug me if the beer I had a month ago was a different recipe the next time I went in.

Am I the only that appreciates the irony of brewery called, "Disgruntled", eliciting "disgruntled" reactions. I wondered what would happen if the they renamed themselves Pollyanna.

Update: Apparently there is Pollyanna brewery.

Seems like they're all gonna be called that, just with different hops? Probably do the hyphenated name thing? Like Local 755 - Citra, Local 755 - Galaxy or something like that.

They will be changing the hop frequently, I was told next up is Galaxy, and then Vic Secret.

They are planning to brew the following 5 hops for their New England IPA's.
    1.) Local 755 Citra
    2.) Local 755 Galaxy
    3.) Local 755 Mosaic
    4.) Local 755 Amarillo
    5.) Local 755 El Dorado

    etc.

Do they plan to lower the price or raise the ABV? $8 for 16oz of a 6% beer seems greedy.

Yesterday, I did a 'Google' search on the off chance that someone has placed a word or trademark on: "Autistic Muppet Brewing Company", but so far it's not a thing, yet.

But there are some very odd / questionable names out there these days.

I agree, it's a dumb move to brag about it on social media.

However, you are still missing the point: you would never have driven there and not been able to take some back. The 75 were bought a week after the beer was crowled, there was still plenty left afterwards, AND they even offer growlers of it on the off chance that two assholes come in

Do we need to reiterate that his brewery is in the middle of Bumfuck, MN?

Right, sorry I should have been more clear. Will the taproom identify these as different beers, or will they just call it "Local 755".
