Wonder why they only did some of the beers this week with "more new brands premiering next week?"

Yeah I thought one of the reasons for SMM was so we can try the new beers and decide which ones and how much to buy. Kinda defeats the purpose if they're just releasing new stuff throughout the month.

This year's anniversary ale, Saule, will be distributed. Society members get first crack during the Society release this week.

We hope to have some of the new Arbre series on tap for Society Member Monday today. It's up to the beer to tell us when it's ready though!

It's a sour brown, so an oude bruin like La Folie but with a huge burst of cherries. Even older bottles I've opened have been fruit forward as hell.

I got lucky and got a bottle last year, and man that thing was tasty.

    Beer is good?

Really though, Griff was good but nearly as much as a punch in the mouth like last time. That isn't to say it wasn't a totally crushable beer, it absolutely is, but if you are expecting what B1 is, that isn't what you are getting. This one the cherry is more subtle but still there.

By punch in the mouth do you mean aggressively sour or just the cherry element?

Wondering the same. I tend to like the more aggressive sours.

Had my first m15 last night and it was amazing. I didn't like it in the tasting room and with the infection talk I wasn't looking forward to opening bottles so they've just sat but wow what a tasty beer! Way more chocolate and vanilla from the bottle, draft was all walnut flavor which was super strange.

I think you're the first I know of that didn't like it at the tasting room. glad your bottle was good!

So how does the offshoot thing work?
The thing online says to "purchase" it by April 9.
Is that something that'll show up monthly or how does it work if you don't plan on buying some now, but maybe a few months down the line?

Wanted to share about my recent experience picking up my 2016 allocations from the society desk. I'll admit that I am one of those people that leave almost an entire year's worth of allocations for the March 31 pick up of the following year. I was disappointed that almost 2 cases of my allocations were either oversold or infected. I think the beers involved (might be missing one) are:

    Chupacabra QuinceaƱera
    Dodie
    Frambulous
    The Wanderer '17
    Melange #15
    Confession '16

They replaced some of them with Black Tuesday and offered to replace Wanderer and Confession with older bottles, but I already had several bottles of the older vintages and enough BT to put me in a coma.

My issue is that they changed the inventory system this year that reduced services to members by:

    - Not including the items on the email confirming purchase.
    - Not summarizing the beers that we have available for pick up on the Order History page on thebruerystore.com.

With the size, scale, and needy personalities of the societies (I accept part of the blame here), inventory control should really be a priority for the retail portion of their sales. I'm not particularly upset about missing out on some of the bottles, but will be burned if I seem them sell these in the future or pour at the anniversary party (of course I know that they have had to stop distributing some bottles in the past and only poured onsite because they were kept under controlled temperature conditions).

I have always been a defender and supporter of The Bruery and will continue to do so. I only want to offer constructive criticism to make it better! The staff at the society desk were very friendly and I'm not one to shoot the messenger. The changes need to be at the infrastructure.

Did anyone else experience these issues?

@BruerJoel - please consider this as a priority to fix in 2017. I think the people who will benefit the most from tighter inventory controls will be the society desk.

I really miss being able to see all of my order history, the date prior orders were picked up/fulfilled, and what bottles are still awaiting pickup. I also find it weird that the e-mail confirmations don't include an itemized receipt, just a confirmation number.

So much this. It's beyond annoying we can't get a detailed receipt when we complete an order. That can't be a terribly hard thing to accomplish....please guys get this one done sooner rather than later......
