To be fair, being selfish isn't always a bad thing. But beer karma is real, and if all you do is store scoping for the .rar stuff, you'll eventually get smacked down because of it.

Can't find the article, but pretty recently Matt said it would likely be the same time frame as the new production brewery, which I think has slipped to Spring 2018.

 

i went to my local bottle shop and could get one kbs for $8 but then when to a higher end market I was able to buy 2 4packs for 23 each. This kbs cycle is odd

 

The local bottle shop selling it for $7 wasn't the same shop selling the vintage vertical *4-pack was it? I had to laugh at that. I also opted out of the $7 '17' vintage as well.


*Any guess's any what they were asking for KBS vertical one of each 12,13,14,15 ?

 

Had my 1st two KBS the last two days (draft then bottle) ... not a fan. Choc/coffee nose is great, mouth feel real solid... and that's all for me. Oh well.

 

No must be a different shop but mine was selling 16,15 singles as well with a nice mark up. I have aged my own kbs and not a fan

 

Columbus IPA to drink at OSU football games and CBC now going to start canning beers. Hopefully not long for can distribution once this starts. Very excited about this news.

Did anybody go to The Bottlehouse last night and try their new stout? I was thinking of picking up a bottle later if still available.

 

I stopped by around 5:30 and was able to chat with a few others about the beer. Myself, and everyone I spoke with, loved the beer. Not too smokey, good barrel presence and strong hints of both cherry and spice. I got one on draft and one to go..................I probably should have gotten more to go.

 

Thanks for the feedback. I stopped by earlier today and saw that they had a lot of things bottled in contrast to a year ago when all they seemed to have was Snow Day, which I liked just fine. Any comments on those here, over and beyond ratings elsewhere, would likewise be appreciated.

 

I would love to see some cans too, but I won't hold my breath after reading this part

Well OSU doesn't play year round so I imagine at the very least we'd see cans at the end of the year.

New brewery opens in Pickerington this Saturday, Combustion Brewery and Taproom.

Just will be nice to have a homegrown beer venture in this part of the city

 

I picked one up Sunday when I was in the area. I'll try it shortly and then might pick up another to age, if any are still left. In the last couple years the brewers have really upped their game imo because I found a lot of their early offerings a bit thin.

 

sorry if I missed it before, but care to share what shop you are talking about? I don't want to be an asshole and buy any beer there.

Anyone seen the Mexican Cake Dragon's Milk yet?

 

I stopped in and after trying LaTentadora on draft I bought a case. Absolutely fantastic! Let it warm up to room temp. Excellent rich flavor and the smoked spanish paprika is a truly original ingredient. All around one of the better breweries I have been to.
