So I post literally saying a specific beer, that will hit the rest of NEO next week, is amazing and worth getting, then my post gets deleted for "pointless pot stirring" ? Is this a joke?

 

My post in news and releases on Founders Zebra got deleted also. Which, to the best of my knowledge was in the correct place. Yet, that was the tag I received.

Figleaf is really coming into their own. The thing I really like about them is that they have all the proper glassware.

If anyone ever visits, I would recommend visiting the new Rivertown as well, which is only a few miles away. Rivertown doesn't really blow me away, but the food at the new location is really good and decently priced and they have guest taps as well.

 

Yep. Between them, Woodburn, Streetside, and Urban Artifact, there's a lot of good stuff coming out down this way.

 

Can anyone tell me if any shops have a bottle of Coffee & Vanilla BB Dark Apparition left in the Cincinnati area?

 

I picked up a bottle of Extended Aged Boris the Crusher. I brought it to a share in a brown bag, so that no one knew what it was. I knew at least one of the folks was not a fan of HF and I wanted his unvarnished opinion on the beer. All three people I was with loved it and they were slightly surprised when I revealed it as an HF product.

To my unsophisticated palate, it was well balanced. The barrel came through nicely and did not over power. I would recommend giving it a try, if you like barrel aged stouts.

 

For what it's worth I bought the last one from Dutch's on Monday (this or last, can't remember). 2 weeks ago when I called Hyde Park W&S, they had none. Neither did Whole Foods. Don't think I tried Jungle Jims.

I live near Akron and visited the brewery. Picked up a bottle early. In the interest of full disclosure, I did join Fred's club. I do not however want to debate the intelligence, or lack thereof, of that move.

What was the price?

 

I saw quite a few at the BP in Pleasant Ridge a few weeks ago. They are a bit of a hidden gem.

 

I bought food and other beers, so not 100% certain. However, I believe it was about $19 for a 22oz (of course). I will check my receipt and let you know if it is more than a dollar off one way or another.

 

I had a similar experience. It's one of the absolute best they've put out. I will also say, and said a couple months ago, this latest batch of BA Doris was by far the best version of that beer I'd had from them as well. Unfortunately my Extended Boris post got deleted.
