Everywhere I look it seems like you need to provide a license plate when you get through on the reservation line. We are planning to take the Belbus out to the abbey. Assuming that I can get through to make a reservation, can a reservation be made for a customer on foot/belbus? Thanks in advance for your help!
If you want to buy a case or two of the beer you need to have a reservation from the phone line (which is exceedingly tough to get). The last time I was there I was able to buy 6 packs of the 6,8 and 12 from the onsite location they have there (across the street from where you would pick up the beer in the car line and called "In de Vrede"). However I think the availability they have is not "set in stone" so sometimes they may only have certain types available. Long story short if you're in the area you might as well try to go to In de Vrede and either drink the beer there or see if you are able to buy some at their small gift shop.
It can be done. See the many associated threads on the topic. There are people who testify to doing it by rental car (with no advance knowledge of the license plate). I haven't done it myself, though.
Yes, but seems that if one uses a rental car they require your Cell Phone number (as reported by a few who have successfully done that in the past).
I've picked up crates two times. One time with a rental, explained when I made the call and did not have to give a plate number. The other time with a swedish car. When I said I was coming with a foreign car I only needed to tell them my name.
