Bad trader alert: Dewarner82

So it happened once again. I let my guard down and was screwed over. I'll preface this story by saying I should have done more to protect myself (ie ask for trade references, phone number, NOT ship first, etc) but out of close to 100 trades I have only been screwed over one other time and it was one of my first trades. Unfortunately, that one was with a Canadian trader (lots of money invested) and this one involved some badass beers.

To keep it somewhat short...I set up a trade with dewarner82 about a month ago. I was going out of town so I shipped first so he could steal my beer ASAP. I sent an Upland Raspberry, Blackberry, Cascade Sang Royal, Cascade Sang Noir for a Fantome Extra Sour, Cantillon St Lamvinus and 4 FBS. I also xtra'd him a JK Boxers Revenge and some other sour that slips my mind, possibly La Folie.

He received my box, told me thanks and that he would send out his box the next day. That was Sept 20th. He last logged on Sept 29th but I haven't heard anything since the 20th. Through a little research I found his phone number (it's actually his parents phone number which matches the address I sent the box to) and have called 4-5 times. The first time I believe his mom picked up and said he wasn't home. I asked her to tell him to call me and he should have my phone number through BA (since I provided it to him through BM). Since then no one has picked up the phone and I have left messages.

That's it. F'ed again. To be honest, every time I log onto BA now it puts a bad taste in my mouth. I know the majority of people on here are great and generous but this one stings. BTW, I can't remember who keeps the bad trader list so I can provide more details about personal info.

 

That would be nice but he hardly posted anything anyways and he sure as hell didn't have any reputation on here that he cares about protecting which should have all been warning signs in the first place. I'm sure he's probably already lurking around here using another name.

 

I really appreciate the offer but no thanks. It's partly my fault for not taking certain precautions and although I do appreciate your generosity, it's on him not anyone else. Thanks again though.

 

Same as above for you treebs. I appreciate it but no one should have to compensate for this chump. On the other hand, maybe we can set up another trade in the future
