What was it?

 

Not for nothing, Afterimage wasn't added to this site until August of '15 and that was their first can iirc. There has always been hype for their beer and they've always cost at least $18 or $19 a 4-pack. 4-packs were the lay of the land at first, then shit got nuts, now, 4-packs I think are easier to get.

Can't edit my last post but, post #315. Cans, not shocking to me (or most people) were always highly sought after.

 

In upstate the Afterimage cans were gone as soon as they hit distro. Same was true of Pulse Wave and every IPA after. Around that time, their beers that used to sit on shelves -- Color Field, Bees in the Trappe, etc -- disappeared from stores. Then every release they did, cans and bottles, were out of stores within ours after they came in.

Now we seem to be at a comfortable point where the IPAs still go same day, but most stores will have the most recent 3-4 bottles sitting around.

 

I actually prefer the bottles to the cans at this point, so I don't mind the availability. Being able to pick up Mango Pop and Rainbow Dome a couple days after they hit shelves is pretty awesome. Plus I'm a sucker for the bottle art.

The IPAs are still really tough to get, but died down quite a bit. Some of the initial releases were hilarious. More competition now helps.

 

Super shine still available at bryant pk wf....at the cheese counter

 

Union sq wf has the last 4 bottles released. Milk & hops astor has the new cans & bottle

 

Not to go too OT, but a new M&H location is opening in the UES this week or next. Looks like it will be their biggest space yet

 

i saw that on their IG or FB page the other day. looks awesome.

 

Trying to decide between opening Liquid Crystal tonight or Super Shine, any recommendations?

 

I haven't tried either yet but I have a LC in my fridge if ya wanna have a little online tasting tonight

 

Woohoo Grimm tasting party! I went with Super Shine. Really tasty stuff, I'm not a huge Gose fan so I'm really digging the dry hopping on this one.

Do we expect DDH Tesseract to drop next week?



...And any leads on the rest of Grimm's June schedule? I'm just excited, that's all.

 

Since Beltway already canned it, I would think it has to be very soon.
