Yeah, they're so close to Cable that you could definitely pull a two-fer if you go at the right time.

Hell, if you're making a trip out of it, go to Burger Loft down the street from Cable. They have their own brewery District 96. If you're into pale ales you won't be disappointed.

I went to Cable Beverages yesterday. I was very pleased with their selection and the overall visit. I believe I spoke with the owner, he was an older gentleman with a mustache. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the craft beer industry. He told me they are always getting in new beers, as in beers that have never been there before.

As for their selection, I enjoyed the grab whatever single you want type style. Buying the whole 4pk or 6pk is not enforced, which I personally love. They had Pipeworks Brewing Co., Burial Brewing Co., Jack's Abby, Third Rail, Half Acre and Night Shift...just to name some.

I was also surprised to find they fill growlers there! They had like seven different beers on tap. I will definitely be visiting them more frequently.:grinning:

I will definitely check out that spot to see what they have to offer when I go back by Cable Beverages. Thanks for the suggestion. Cheers!

So, they only brew pale ales? Or is their pale ale the best brew they make? I will look into them. Thanks for sharing BA anon, cheers!

What h when they release aged stouts on tap. And aged barleywine. Or a dogfishhead 120 from last year on tap. U never know what they are aging/hiding way back there.

Their growler prices are actually really cheap. For example, right now they're doing 64 oz pours of War Elephant for 15 bucks which is cheaper than what Rushing Duck itself charges at the brewery.

They have several different styles on tap at any given time. I know they've done a blond ale, an amber ale, and a kolsch. They always seem to have 3-4 pale ales on tap at any given time, though. They're all very good. Check 'em out next time you're in the area.

Update 7/29: I went to District 96/The Burger Loft just about a couple miles from Cable Beverages. It was an amazing experience. The 'Butterfly' burger I got was delicious and the beer they brew there is pretty good too. I liked how they have other local breweries on tap, such as Equilibrium, a personal favorite of mine.

I highly suggest stopping by District 96 aka The Burger Loft if you're in the area. I liked it so much that I brought my girlfriend, who enjoys craft beers as well there. She ranked their burgers as the second best burger she has ever had! Thank you BA anons for pointing me in the right direction and giving exceptional suggestions/spots to check out.

    Cheers everyone!:grimacing:
