I don't believe this...I went down there at 2 and the place was deserted. Sign on the door said closed for "maintenance" until 5

it was locked at 1230pm, but there were 2 ladies inside working. one open the door for me (the one with short hair) and said their sink was broken, so they're closed. they couldn't serve food or drinks. i asked if i can just buy some cans and she said yes. i have no idea what happened after i left. would you like to see a picture of the cans or my receipt? who the fuck lies about dumb shit like beer? come on man, get a life.

Wish I saw that before I went down there. Long haired girl shut me down just now. I can see the cans behind the counter too. :slight_frown:

I got there when some plumbers got there to presumably fix the problem, so I asked her face to face but she said no.

Why would you post about it and not include that information? Cans are in at Carmine along with Mexican Cake too

No big, but I'm a little pissy I wasted my lunch break to waste a MetroCard ride downtown to get nothing and then I got somebody cursing at me to boot. Thank God for Good Beer, I ran there and picked a few Interboro cans up as a consolation.

I say we get the pitchforks. Teasing the general public by putting the cans in plain view while closed is UNFORGIVABLE

Yeah it's a flocculation problem, which can have many contributing factors you mentioned like yeast health/pitch rate, water chemistry, and cold conditioning time/temperature. The ironic thing is that the strains typically used for the style are highly flocculant. Dry hopping during fermentation does affect that flocculation behavior however so i think that's how some of these grey/brown looking beers get made -- dry hopping during primary for biotransformation then neglecting cold conditioning.
