This past weekend I showed up at 930, doors opened at 10 and I was back at the car by 1040ish. They had cans well into the afternoon when I went back to the tap room.

Anybody know if there is any BA Umbra left, and at the risk of sounding pathetic, if you can buy singles?

 

How have the lines been for Reciprocal lately? I've had to work every release day so far this summer, but on 6/2 I was thinking of being a little late for work if there's a good chance of getting some not much later than 11. Then again it might be a good excuse for me to avoid spending more money.

Dunno if there's any left but they sell by the pack only.

 

Yea, i doubt there's any left now, but they were still available Friday at open (lucky for me) so i hope Hopley was able to get some.

 

No, I stupidly drove right by and blew it off thinking of my burgeoning cellar...and have been regretting it ever since...

 

How much did BA Umbra cost per can?

I think it was $18 per 4 pack

I got an extra 4 pack so If you're in the GBA I could meet up for a trade

 

I know there isn't an exact science to this and often times it depends on the release, but I'm making the trip up from Ohio for the first time next week and I'm curious how quickly cans normally sell out. Do you need to wait in line prior to open or can you normally stroll in mid-day and still grab some cans? I will be there next Wednesday for the Substance/BG release. I appreciate any insight.

 

I was up there Saturday, went to Foundation/Austin St/Battery Steele/Allagash before Bissell. I got to BB at about 1:30-ish and Substance cans were already gone. Baby Genius cans sold out while I was in line.

Wednesday should be easier than the first Saturday with cans in god knows how long, but I wouldn't chance it. Roll in a little after opening.

 

For a non-vacation week wednesday, if you get there by 1 you'll be fine. THey just upped production so who knows, but I usually get there around 1230 on wednesdays and there's plenty left (except swish wednesdays).

 

Any prediction / recommendation for this Saturdays Manamana special collaboration release? IG says Cans only starting at 11. I don't think that would sell as quickly as say Swish or Nothing Gold. When do you think Manamana and/or Substance will sell out?

 

It will really depend on how many cases they have. If I was to guess I think they hype would be more along the lines of Swish or NG, as opposed to some of their other releases. And its summer. Summer brings the crowds to Portland.

The NG release this past weekend was perfect weather, big crowd, and there was still plenty available over an hour after open. That was a 280-case release, with 12 cans pp, so take that in to consideration. No idea how big of a run Manamana is.

 

How is no one talking about manamana?! The stuff is at least on par with lights on. Amazing APA for sure.

The only disappointing part is that it's not a regular brew.

 

Once 4th of July kicks in and the real tourist season starts (vacations) it will be the true barometer for how quick things will move.

 

Anyone have details on the facility they're building in Milo, ME?
