The two are not mutually exclusive! By far the best part of SDCC for me this year was having a pint or two at Neighborhood before actually getting to the convention center. Also, perfect opportunity to fill my SD brewery growlers.

C'mon, you have to give Final Fantasy 7 more love than that! It was one of the games that helped put the PS2 on the map. There were advertisements on bus stops for crying out loud!

could be. however, you think someone who just robbed you of beer over the internet will go to the police to report harassment, especially when there is a paper trail of what happened? you'd certainly have an opportunity to plead your case and you simply explain how you were ripped off...plus if the guy reports harassment, he'll need to prove it. as long as you continue to leave messages with just the facts, i really don't see how this can backfire for you.

it is a lot easier to just resolve the issue with the original trader (ie. send him back his beer or your end of the bargain or if the beer is gone, make some sort of arrangement) than to physically go to the police.

alternatively there are a lot of easier ways to get your 'revenge' and still be pretty free and clear legally. check out this reply from an attorney that i found from a minute of googling. it is just as easy to find this article as it is to figure out how to mask your IP and all that jazz. i am continuously amazed by how many people are willing to rip off others over a few beers while giving out oodles of their personal information in the process. if you rip someone off and they mess with you, you kind of got what you deserved (and asked for).

and in the end, getting a warning note from the law that i need to stop harassing someone who ripped me off kind of tells me that i got my revenge if i bothered them enough to warrant them going to the police.

 

As someone who admitted to attending said nerfest multiple times I don't think my post really qualifies as nerd hate.

We've found people before on FB that have resulted in the safe delivery of their beers.
