I couldn't tell from the way you wrote it, but you will be in and out of Alchemist in not much time at all. They only have small samples for onsite, so you are really just there to buy beer and then head to Doc Ponds. I would also consider Idletyme in Stowe which is right by Alchemist and Doc Ponds. Large variety of beers, pretty good food and a nice outdoor area ...

Was really impressed with A Single Pebble in Burlington. Great Chinese food in a cool old house. Cans of Heady Topper and some good local drafts. Going back for dim sum when I'm in town again next month.

I should have also said earlier that Burlington Beer Co is not too far off the interstate if you want a stop on the way back from Stowe to Burlington.

Yup, sorry for the confusion, just swinging through there to pick up beers. Might as well since I'm in the area (I've had many a Heady Topper and a few other beers by them).

I think we'll probably hit up Alchemist first, then Doc Ponds for lunch and a few beers, then sit outside at Vonn Trapp and head back.

For Burlington spots so far I have...

    Breweries:

Foam, Queen City, Flatbread (Zero Gravity)

    Restaurants:

Farmhouse, Hen of the Wood, Farmhouse Tap and Grill, Pizzeria Verita, Flatbread also for pizza, and Single Pebble

Am I missing anything in terms of food in Burlington? Bear in mind we'll probably do multiple breakfasts, lunches, dinners throughout the three days.

Thanks again everyone, great suggestions, I really appreciate it!

Other places I've read about are...

Juniper, Pingala Cafe, Kountry Kart Deli (late night), Four Corners of the Earth, and Skinny Pancake

Also into coffee, for grabbing a cup I read about...

Scout and Company, Onyx Tonics, Radio Bean Coffeehouse, and Muddy Waters

Skinny pancake for breakfast is an excellent choice. My GF loved Myer's Bagels for authenticity and quality. You've got most of the spots nailed down already I think.

Between the Farmhouse and the Archives for a late night barcade experience, I don't need much else.

I've done Queen City several times, always hoping they'll improve but really haven't been wowed, despite having an interesting line-up. In my travels I've had a great time hitting both Zero Gravity's Pine St facility and the flatbread location later in the day.

Came here specifically to recommend Myer's Bagels. Montreal style bagels, so they're smaller and have a little sweetness to them. Absolutely delicious, get the Montreal spice. It's a quick drive or nice walk from downtown. Just be patient. I don't think I've ever been served by a more stoned guy in my life, let alone at 9AM.

Also, Manhattan Pizza isn't fancy, but has a killer taplist. Was recommended by the guys at Foam.

Assuming Hill Farmstead is too far - basically almost an hour past Stowe if you're coming from Burlington - but nobody had mentioned it and I feel like it's obligatory

Speaking of Hen of the Wood, I know you typically need a reservation for their Waterbury location. Assuming it's the same for the Burlington restaurant, you might want to keep that in mind.

Nice, the bagel place and Skinny Pancake seem solid for the mornings.

I'm just going to go to Queen City simply because it's there. I feel like historically their beers have been hit or miss for me.

Yeah, it likely is. Plus, for my family, there really isn't anything up there except maybe Parker Pie. I've been there before, and it looks like I'll get my Hill Farmstead fill at Prohibition Pig and Doc Ponds.

I think what we might do head to Prohibition Pig for lunch on the way up, maybe the Ben and Jerry's tour if there's time.

Yup, I got that impression, thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately we may not head there, I don't think the menu would be a good fit for our entire crew.

I like the brunch at Leunig's Bistro, not a beer place, but good brunch and bloody Mary's.

If you are going to Stowe, are you skipping Waterbury? Same exit on I89. I prefer the food/beer at Blackback or Pro Pig to Doc Ponds, but Doc Ponds is good too!

Second Farmhouse Tap and Grill in Burlington. Great meal and tap list.

    Also second Burlington Beer Co.

I don't think anyone mentioned Simple Roots. Decent stop.

The music and taplist is pretty good at The Skinny Pancake. Right up the road from Foam.

Four Quarters in Winooski is pretty close to Burlington, but I saw that you won't have a car. Not sure about the Uber situation in Burlington.

Overall looks like a nice list you have. Have fun!

Also, the Growler Garage may have something worth your while. Check their tap list online while in town. You will walk right near it on the way to Foam/Skinny Pancake.

We're going to hit up Waterbury on the way to Burlington. I was set on eating at Prohibition Pig for lunch (5 Hill Farmstead drafts)...but damn, just saw the tap list at Blackback Pub.

Recommendations? Probably would be leaning more towards which has better food (but still, what a list at Blackback). Also might hit up Ben and Jerry's to kill some extra time before heading to the hotel in Burlington.

Both are good, I prefer Blackback, but can't go wrong with either.

Edit previous post: "Probably leaning more towards Prohibition Pig".

Cool, thanks for the input. Menu looks a bit more extensive at Pro Pig. Also a few Hill Farmstead drafts I'm a bit more interested in there (although I've never had Susan, that's on at Blackback).

How's the Prohibition Pig IPA? Has very high ratings, granted not too many reviews.

Lots of good recommendations. Don't forget the hidden basement bar at Farmhouse tap - no need for a secret knock but if you didn't know it existed - you might miss it. Good place to start before dinner. I really like the flatbread place -- and ZG usually has at least one really nice cask ale on tap -- last time I was there they had an absurdly juicy mosaic/citra pale cask that was my BIS for the weekend. Foam is an absolute must. Lastly - Skinny Pancake is awesome -- but Penny Cluse Cafe is my favorite breakfast spot in Burlington. Check em both out if you can. Cheers and have a blast!

Most of Pro Pigs brews are pretty good, hoppy stuff seems to be their most popular.

The downstairs "Parlor" is only open in the cold weather months. Right now, the outdoor patio has replaced it for the summer/fall season.

If you've never had HF Susan, make sure to try it if still on tap at Blackback. Just my opinion, but would drink it over Pro Pig IPA all day. Have done the Waterbury/Stowe trip a few times. If all adults and no kids, I'd skip the Ben/Jerrys tour unless something you feel you have to do. Spend that time at Blackback, Pro Pig, and Reservoir since they are all right next to each other.

Yup, saw your pic in this thread from last year. Certainly looked good and played the part of the quintessential New England style IPA (by how it looked anyways).

We have breakfast Saturday/Sunday, so we'll do some mix of the bagel place, Skinny Pancake and Penny Cluse. My mom mentioned the bagels, but I'm sure we could grab those at any time to go and not exclusively for breakfast.

Ha, you could probably saw this about any brewery in 2017.

I've had Double Citra, Society and Solitude (#4 I think), Edward, Walden...and maybe a few others. So I have had their hoppy stuff, and do have regular access to Trillium. But I have always wanted to try Susan.

The tour would mainly be to try to do some non beer geek stuff, as I'm far and away the most interested in that aspect of this trip. My brother likes a lot of this stuff too, but that's about it. Mom and Dad don't even drink outside of the rare glass of wine for mom.
