Good afternoon, all! This is Fugli, a yuzu and ugli fruit IPA from Oskar Blues and a fine hotel lunch beer. First time with this one, and my rating is totally off the charts. What's not to love? Well, except for the "glassware," which is a plastic hotel cup. I finished drinking this out of the can. (Note: The 1800 Reposado in the background was my breakfast Bloody Mary tequila. What happens in Vegas, etc., etc.)


Apropos of nothing, I picked up a sixer of Grand Teton Bitch Creek at a shop in Eagle, CO, the other day. I bought it on the assumption that it was brewed in Wyoming, one of the six states I haven't ticked yet. I discovered later that it was brewed in Idaho, which is not one of those states. On the plus side, it's a pretty good brown ale.

 

Breakside Brewery - Salted Caramel Stout
Made with caramelized lactose & fleur de sel. Pretty damn good! Drinks much thicker than it's 6.7 abv would suggest. If they dialed back the roast just a smidge the caramel and salt would come out more, but like I said, it's damn good!
