With all of the grammatical errors and run-on sentence, going to guess serious.

Yeah, I can't tell which of the anti-online sale comments are from trolls or from people who legitimately like waiting in line.

Who seriously enjoys the lines? I dont speak Spanish, so i pretty much can't speak with anyone. I do enjoy looking at the woman with the nerd glasses though. I think she brings a husky dog sometimes. ( for those who know who im talking about)

I see a lot of them crying about smaller allotments, but according to the eventbrite page, it's a limit 3, which is the highest amount I've seen from the "real" lines so far. Double Platinum was limit 2. So there's goes that argument.

I guarantee they just enjoyed cornering the "haze market". It felt exclusive to them because they were the main ones willing to waste 6 hours on a Saturday. You take away that guarantee, of course they are going to be upset.

They could make a whopping less than minimum wage by reselling their beer online!

    Pic or it didn't happen....

Of the husky of course. I'm sure the girl is lovely and all, but I grew up with huskies, so I always stop to give them extra pets whenever I see one.

Thanks for compliment but that's my gf. Next time come up to us and say hi instead of starring at a distance.

Lol @ "I don't speak Spanish". Maybe if you took the time to actually talk to some of these dudes, you'd realize ALOT of them don't speak it either.

Maybe if you were more social, you could bring a girl for others to look at too.

You could take them back to your place and give them the "Hey, you ever seen a house with a parking brake?" line.

I think it's awesome that @NobleAleWorks is going to online sales. I work two jobs so I always miss out on the special releases. If I want to drink great beer than I better be at work making that chedda to pay for that good Beer right? LOL.... Hopefully this is a successful sale and I can get my first specialty release.

    Cheers!

I don't like Monkish beer, so I have no skin in the game.

But as anyone who has studied Supply Chain/Business stuff knows... inventory has a cost. Unless Monkish expands their facilities, it is absolutely not worth it for them to move to the online sales model. They have such a small space as it is, so to manage pickups and having to hold onto beer for days if not weeks would be a burden.

This last point is irrelevant because Noble's pickup window is 3 days, not weeks. Pretty sure if Monkish has the space to keep the cans in there for one or more days depending on when canning happens versus the sales, they can manage a three day window.

Probably not in cold storage though

Any can I've ever gotten at pickup has been cold, so clearly it's been in cold storage. I haven't seen a Monkish keg at a craft beer bar in I don't know how long, so I can't imagine they just have kegs upon kegs taking up cold storage space.

I believe it's been said before but if not, here's the online strategy that makes the most sense: Sell tickets for the day you're expecting to can and release the beer. Sell what you produced minus some margin for waste so you don't end up overselling your can yield. If you end up with more cans at the end of it, sell the rest out of the tasting room day of.

There, no more BS cold storage argument. There is no more defense for lines other than they like the attention it brings them.
