It was pretty crisp/clean until I finished the pour into the can. Maybe I'll take a pic sometime soon to show you what I mean.

But yeah, sorry for dragging this into the NE thread.
Yeah, I'm hoping the pre-filled cans will really help. Maybe I'll only have to hover around like a weirdo for half the time, now!

Oh yea, good call on the pre-filled crowlers. That should also help with the crowler mix up problem reported by me and someone else last time.

For the bourbon barrels? The NE Pale Ale is released tonight at Open Bottle not the brewery...I believe. Apologies if I am mistaken.

Well, how's Squeezit v2? (I don't put much stock in Untappd.) Surely someone who monitors this thread stopped by for lunch.

I'm headed up to Forbidden Root for a growler fill and then to Corridor for a couple of crowlers. This should take me about 4 days with traffic. It was nice knowing you fellow BAs.

I sure did. It was awesome. Soft mouthfeel, papaya for days, low bitterness. Surpasses original squeeze it and is on par with forbidden root, Mikerphone and old nation offerings as best NE style IPA in midwest. Highly recommended

Nothing like a 20 mile trip taking ~100 minutes

Well now I'm confused, since I (probably) liked Squeezit the best out of all our options! :grinning:

Glad to hear it's delicious, though; that's the important part.

Just drive in and out of oncoming traffic, turn lanes, one ways, etc. Then when you get pulled over you can explain that you are just a simple caveman and you don't understand their complicated light systems and advanced cave drawings on the fancy metal signs.

Had pint at lunch and grabbed 2 crowlers as well. Absolutely loved it. Soft mouthfeel and very tasty with the slightest bitterness at the end which reminds you it is an IPA. Didn't have first batch so can't compare but had van hazen and simcoe and this is much better

I haven't had Squeezit V2 yet, but I definitely think for my drinking style, this type of beer does best as a DIPA. The higher abv adds a hint of sweetness and a little extra fullness that I really enjoy. The lower ABV ones (like Salute Your Simcoe, to a lesser extent Van Hazen) are better for chugging (and thus arguably better for a weekend like this one), but as someone who usually only has a beer or two at one sitting, give me all your abvs, please.

Correctamundo. We are not changing what we are doing here. I am putting a lot of effort into the NE pales and that is very visible to you because of this thread. I was taking the pales very seriously from the beginning though and the new techniques and processes have given me a new tool in my kit.
