Why in the world would you do that?... for all Cycle Releases other than Scoop you are getting beer as long as you are in line by 7:45..and the person that gets in line at 7:45 is getting the same amount as the person who is in front and camped out all night..SMH

Trying to build up the hype train. I really love Cycle and hope it never becomes like the hype train that JWB is.

visitccb is their instagram page for the tasting room and they also post growler Tuesdays there.

Yeah but Wakefield gives allotments ahead of time vs the morning

Imagine waiting in that big Poppa line only to find out if was 1pp?

    Bottle Release Details -
We are going to sell the Double Barrel Vanilla Rare DOS on Saturday morning, its a weekend, its not Fathers Day, its still going to be at 8 AM, we still have neighbors.
We used up all of our vanilla beans on this, plus the second barrel was vanilla, and we feel this is one of the finest, easily most expensive, beers we have made.
Limit is TBD at around 7:45 AM on Saturday, unless you really want to be gone by 8:01, no need to line up earlier than 7:45. There is plenty, pretty much no chance enough people line up that we are unable to offer at least 1, almost certainly multiples, to everybody in line at that time.
$35, cash only until the line is clear.
This is not part of a set though there will be more double barrel beers in the future, details on those when we get closer to release time which is at least weeks away.
    Cheers everybody!

What are the chances no one lines up before 745? Hahah

"we feel this is one of the finest, easily most expensive, beers we have made."

Translation: This beer cost $4 per bottle to make instead of the usual $2.50, so lets jack the price up by $5 per so Doug can buy a new boat or something.

There's always going to be one person out there with this attitude.

And those that get there at 8:00 get the same allotment as those that spent the entire morning there. Personally, I would rather sleep in a little and wait just a little longer in line. Also Cycle's lines move pretty fast. Like you said though there will be some people lining up at 5:00 in the morning.

Look at my avatar...Im a fan of Cycle, I'm just amazed how far prices have gone up on the last couple years for BA stouts in general. Relative to the cost to make it's crazy. More power to em if people keep buying them...and they will.

    Dos brunch was 35

    Rare scoop was 30

They've pushed up prices when they needed to

Yep I bought a couple DOS Brunch. After that I decided my beer hobby is getting too pricey so I now stick with hops for the most part.

Vanilla prices are fucking terrible right now.

But I don't know their COGS so can't comment beyond that.

For these double barrelbeers they are chewing up 2 barrels for the same yield. Which drives up the cost significantly. $35 is a hefty price tag for a 22 oz, but goose island pushes the limit with rare at $60 for that 16.9oz bottle and it's not sitting on shelves. So I'm sure we'll see the price point continue to rise. People have been asking for a true double barrel aged beer and Doug has made it. Honestly if I were him I'd probably charge $40

All of the "sours" being bottled are Orange Belt Brewing.

Probably the same type of guy that will still go, but multiples, and instantly flip for a huge profit.

I agree with the price on this one. Sitting in Barrels (which themselves aren't getting any cheaper these days with increased competition), I can't imagine what barrels that previously were used to age Vanilla cost, and the cost of Vanilla on its own.

I understand that, but I bought it there so to me it's close enough.
