    Saturday seems an appropriate day to have a go at this this epic and intimidating 1 litre can of Faxe. It’s a lager from Denmark.

    Luckily this is the mild North European version with about 5% alcohol. Most Faxe found in the US and Canada are around 10% in alcohol I think. The can is rather nice and turns out to be a collectors item on it’s own because of the artwork.

    The lager itself is much better then I expected. No problem with a refill.

    Prepping for a helicopter ride. The pineapple is very mild and compliments the hops well. A better pineapple Sculpin.

    I have follow up my act with another classic hop bomb.
    This one is a a classic folks. As old as time (from when they started brewing New England DIPAs), guaranteed LAARGEness in a glass-for me, can for you all followers.

    It's already almost too hot to do anything outdoors so I'm gonna clean out my shed and sip on this. not as juicy as advertised in my opinion. Lots of piny wood though.

    Last night I excitedly began counting, compiling, and collating the massive amounts of data generated by June 3rd's Drink With The Duvel Day 2017 ~ The selfie edition ~ On WBAYDN #1687.

    After five minutes it felt like work, I got bored and aborted the endeavor. Sorry @JakeScully : )

    Instead I put together these selfie highlights. I didn’t get everybody in there…because I started getting bored again.

    Sunny Saturday brew . . .

    Appearance: Hazy light yellow gold with a bit of cap and no apparent lacing.

    Aroma: Pleasant herbed malt in a nice but innocuous way.

    Taste: Nothing negative but nothing positive enough to remember for more than a few moments. The malt is carried along by the mild herbal flavor which strikes me as a food beer sort of quality.

    Overall: This is actually a pleasant effort but wouldn't wash down boiled crawfish any better than contract brewed Dixie. Just enough a cut above macro to call it special. I could understand someone saying "not bad" but would be surprised to hear "that's really good".

    Awesome job for a bored individual. Why are @BJB13 a couple others in there like 3 to 4 times? Also, I don't recall the photo at (x, y) coordinates (3, 2), under @goingbrokeonbeer...

    Pooh's a bit upset, though. :wink:

    Was a good time, and congrats to the winners!!
    And not winners, because participation awards actually have a little bit of merit here (not that I feel I need to boost my own ego myself because no one else will realize that I rule. ME).
