The Squishy Gummy that's on tap right now is unreal. VERY soft mouth feel, and it seems that it may have been a little "young" on release.

If the new cans taste like this I'll be in for a treat! 19 cases left as of 12:30 by the way

Do we know if these squishy cans were from the same canned date as original release?

 

their fb post from last friday says "In addition, the much loved Squishy Gummy will make a short return on draft this weekend, and a LIMITED supply will be canned and released next week - Stay tuned for details...." so no, i believe they were just canned

 

Drinking Van Hazen II right now. Another great beer from Corridor. If Forbidden Root is more Treehouse style based on citrus explosion, low bitternenss, and mouthfeel then Corridor is more in the style of Other Half with the higher carb and lots of bitterness. Love that we have both these options now in Chicago.

 

I'm at the NEIPA event at LP Binnys and it's low key. Not too busy. Lots of nice choices on tap.

Guess I need to check out Corridor. Definitely prefer Other Half over Treehouse.

 

I liked just about all of them. Squishy Gummy, Stratus, Snooze Juice, Radio Swan, Fresh IIPA Citra, Dry Hop We Need A Bigger Boat (surpised by this one, pretty good), Van Hazen II, Husky Pants (I think it's good but is it really a NEIPA?), Illuminated Rachmaninhopf (not that good). Off topic but they have 2017 Parabola bottles for on-site consumption if you got tired of all the NEIPAs.

Nothing kicked so they all should still be there tomorrow.

 

Was at Forbidden Root today.
I wasn't really into Ghost Tropic. It also poured a strangely darkish/almost brownish color? Aroma and mouthfeel were good though. Glad I made it out in time to try it.
Radio Swan was still incredible and is still my favorite one in this region by a long shot. If you haven't had this one yet, then seriously get on it.
Newest batch of Snooze Juice is also A+

 

Good time to go. Usually they put up the next NE style when the past one kicks but at the moment they have Fade2Haze and Van Hazen II both on tap.

Agreed. Should be a relatively calm crowd since it's on a Tuesday.

 

Big thanks to this thread for alerting me to the tap list at Binny's Lincoln Park. They still have a ton of NE IPAs on tap. Van Hazen II was phenomenal. Squishy Gummy was also great. I actually thought Cumulus stacked up well against them. And of course the Forbidden Root options were both great.

 

You guys, I'm seriously...ghost tropic has me floored. Drinking this and snooze juice back to back and I get excited when I get to the bottom of my snooze juice glass because I get another glass of ghost tropic. I love you Forbidden Root.

 

Try a Radio Swan if it's still on.

 

I second this thought. It's the first NEIPA from the area that I actually crave.
