Tomorrow, Odd13 is releasing our next taproom-only can. Lupulin Amnesiac is a zero IBU double IPA with Denali and Galaxy hops. No hops went into the kettle or whirlpool. All of the hops we would normally use in the kettle/whirlpool went into the fermenter before we transferred the beer in, then we dry hopped the beer like we normally would for a double IPA. It tastes like passionfruit and very ripe pineapple (mostly pineapple). Super juicy.

250 cases available. We lowered the limit from 3 cases to 2 for this release to try to make it last the day. $11/4 pack. I've been pretty terrible at these predictions, but I'd guess it will last the day.

Can you explain the can art? Kind of looks like a pregnant Justin Beiber?

It's inspired by both the movie Memento and by radio host slash Odd13 podcast guest slash former producer of the Jim Rome show Travis Rodgers. Travis claims he can drink bourbon all day with no issues but tends to forget things when drinking IPAs, hence Lupulin Amnesiac. Memento is a movie about a guy with no short term memory, hence the artwork. The tattoos are changed from the movie and inspired by Travis. It's a replacement for Bad Guy With an Agenda (not even close to the same beer) which was also a tribute to Travis.

New haze bomb IPA tapped at outer range tonight called Forestry. Galaxy, Columbus, Mosaic, and El Dorado hops. Lee the head brewer/owner is killing it up here in the mountains with the NE IPAs.

Agreed. This is definitely in my top 3 favorite WW beers that I've had and I've had just about all the highly rated top beers from them. Having this along side 14 month Noche was a real treat. Glad I was able to snag some crowlers.

I'm bummed I missed out on the crowlers. But glad I got to try it. It's pretty scary this is 8.4% it drinks like a regular IPA to me. Like I could drink a bunch of it.

Some perspective for you: I'm a Winnipegger, planning on visiting CO in 2 wks. Winnipeg's beer scene is very nascent; however MANY of our breweries are very defensive, both of themselves and the other local brewers, on social/internet media. They're only interested in pats on the back, and any constructive tweets/posts the community makes are taken as defamation, and blamed on something out of their control (instead of you know, dumping a bad batch, or acknowledging that a batch was off, but still good in a different way). A couple brewers routinely block beer geeks on social media for constructive critiques.

I find it awesome that many CO breweries are well represented on this site, and communicate so openly with BA's. I really hope WPG gets to this point at some time, and I'm really looking forward to getting to know CO's beer scene. I'll be starting with the breweries who are engaged in hearing their fans.

This was probably one of my favorite monthly releases from odd13, that Denali kicks out some straight pineapple. Drinking well right off the bat.

Station 26 has a new Hop Sequence beer that's a spin on the New England thing. Based upon memory I believe it's using galaxy, mosaic, and el dorado. It throws off tons of tropical fruit on the nose. Flavor-wise it's not one of the citric "OJ milk" types, but has more berry, melon, and mango going on.
Definitely worth seeking out if that's your jam.

I tried Tesserae at Vine Street a about a week ago and flat-out LOVED it. It's a big bruiser at around 10% ABV but I went back for a second pour because it was just too delicious to say "no" to. Every time I'm over there I am more convinced that Mountain Sun/Southern Sun/Vine Street still remain solidly at the top of the West Coast style IPA producers in the state (I liked Tesserae at least as much as Hype Machine that Comrade put out a while back).
