@BJP Stopping in today for the first time and super excited. is the atomic child going to be available at open or later today? You guys only do growler fills correct? no crowlers?

 

no crowlers, but they do fill howlers/32oz growlers as well as the normal 64oz

Transferring it today. Was supposed to be tapped tomorrow (7/8) by business open. I'm on the fence as to whether I'm going to actually put it on tomorrow now. It's tasting fantastic out of the FV but I'm worried that the transfer + carb may bring out some green-ness. I really don't like this notion of you guys having to condition beer, that's my job.

That being said, if you get here before 4pm, I'll give you a sneak peek. I'm going to make the decision of when to put it on before I leave today.

Here's my Atomic Child comments (see last page for more detailed notes):

It's electric yellow.

Aroma is still huge. Big passionfruit/dankness. Fruity hop flavors promise a bitter bite that never comes. Slightly sweet, viscous body slowly washes away and reveals the dry white wine character. The finish compels you to repeat the experience. Grape + Orbit hops are reminiscent of a Nelson beer (when Nelson was great).

Finished out at 7.2%

 

So you'll know around 4-5ish if you'll tap it today? Can you let us know?

No, it won't be on today. Originally it was supposed to go on tomorrow. I'll make the decision to put it on tomorrow before I leave today (around 4pm).

If it doesn't go on tomorrow, it will go on Monday.

For anyone still looking, there were maybe two or three bottles of Hubbard's Cave Citra and maybe two or three four packs of Triptych Dank Meme both on the shelf at Binny's on Grand last night. Both hit it out of the park.

 

Even easier/cheaper I looked up the text online, printed it out in a similar format to what you see on most growlers, cut it out, then used clear packing tape to put it on. Wife bought me a stainless steel growler and didn't have a warning on it. Does now!

 

Oh! If I bring in some coworkers for a late working lunch, think we can get a secret pour? Is there a secret password? The only other Clerks references I can remember beyond Snoochie Boochies are "berserker!" and "37"...
