Actually I stopped not too far from Grand Rapids. Wilson's Party Store in Wyoming MI had it. They did have a one 4 pack limit but I was able to talk him into giving me two. Had a couple other people go in as well. The store was like a block or two off the highway on the west into GR. I'd call ahead, he apparently gets his shipments Friday afternoons.

May not be of interest to all, but I had my last can of the previous Galaxy Bowl batch (canned somewhere around May 25th?) last night, and it looks/tastes the same as the first can. It's nice to see Hop Butcher getting a hang of that Conan yeast, and I'm glad not to have to drainpour the last can like I did for batch 1.

I actually had decent luck with the original lasting for a little while.

Speaking of hop butcher - did they take a July vacation? Haven't seen anything drop from them in a while.

I think they made back-to-back batches of Alemerica (the second to coincide with July 4th), so that's probably why they've seemed inactive. They're brewing up something right now (Skrap Metal) according to their IG.

In terms of GB batch 1, the 3rd of my 4 cans was terrible. Just didn't have much galaxy taste at all, and didn't have the same look as the first two. My 4th can was okay, but at least a few notches below the first 2 cans. I drank all 4 probably within a month of canning, so either way, this last can of the latest batch has lasted much better for me personally (all refrigerated the same way, so at least that variable is out of the way).

They don't have a place to brew right now. They had to vacate aquanaut's facility due to the tadross' bankruptcy case. I know for a fact they are looking for another place to brew including with some contract breweries - but I don't believe anything has been solidified.

Some info about More's Grand Opening this weekend. Shaun confirmed 3 hazy beers will be on tap, in cans to go, and possibly crowlers.

Dusty (NE Pale Ale 6%) -citra and CTZ hops according to untappd

Loose Candies (NE DIPA 8%) - Citra, El Dorado, and Vic Secret according to untappd

Chemical Connection (NE Rye IPA 7%) - Idaho 7 and Chinook hops according to untappd

Had tons of Alemerica around. Idk if it was the can art or a combo but that beer was delicious imo. So so crushable. I wish it was available summer round.

The latest batch of Galaxy Bowl was just as good as the ones I've had before and IMO is still the best NE IPA in the city of Chicago. I had my last can of my 4 pack of the most recent batch last week and it was just as good as the first one I've had.

And I believe everyone has there own opinion because beer is subjective, but just so I can see where people are coming from, have you had Forbidden Root's NE IPAS as well as Corridor? Just want to see frame of reference.

Honestly, I think GB batch 1 was a little better than the most recent batch (at least super fresh), but I'd hear that argument, and I'm about as high on FR and Corridor as anyone. I absolutely love the way galaxy mixes with HB's Conan yeast concoctions.

I'll check back on Friday about Corridor's latest galaxy beer, though.

Skrap Metal and Two Flat art is on their site, upper left corner. Would imagine both should be out soon: http://www.hopbutcher.com/

Anyone else notice that the more recent can artwork no longer has the New England/Northeast style adjective on the can. Even Galaxy Bowl no longer has it on the can - and Im positive it used to. I wonder if that was in response to all the negative feedback that they got when their beers weren't living up to the general expectations of the NE style. I know that they had mentioned on at least one occasion that the worst thing they did was slap NE style on their cans. I suspect this is a deliberate shift.

Yeah we discussed this a while back in this huge thread. It was absolutely an intentional shift. Since HB has been experimenting quite a bit with everything relating to their hazy beers, they didn't want to be dinged if one of the experiments didn't come out how we'd expect an NE beer to be (which you can clearly understand, given the feedback in this thread). UYM was relatively NE styled, and GB certainly is, but neither bear the name (anymore, in the case of GB).

Skrap Metal looks to be similar in style to UYM, so that's the one that would normally say "New England," I believe.

Corridor is the second best in Chicago for me with Narrow Gauge being the best I've had from the Midwest. Haven't had FR so cannot comment on them.

Cosmic Juice Box is at 1.5bbls currently (Noon, Wednesday, 7/12). I estimate that it will make it to early evening Thursday, 7/13, cheers.

That should work pretty good for you. Sweet spot for me tends to be between open and 3:00. Place tends to be a little crazy after 5:00 especially if the cubs are in town.

I mentioned this yesterday. They have a pretty good description of them joining in on the style and a description of the process on their website.

Never thought I'd see the day they would make an NE IPA.

Random question for those who have used Caviar for Forbidden Root deliveries. I noticed they do not list crowlers as an option, only growlers/howlers. Have they in the past or do they just not offer those? Just curious as I've never used it and have typically gone in to enjoy a couple of glasses before purchasing.
