Went to the Farmers' Market in New Braunfels, TX, this morning. Not every farmers' market has a beer hall, but they should!

Ok guys, we figured it was best to let you know so you can start planning now, but the next theme day, a Triple Theme Day, will be occurring next month. You have five, count 'em five (remember to use your thumb) weeks to get your life in order and join us on Saturday, August 19th with a revisited beer, a book, and a wonderful glass!



Ok, you needn't do all of these, pick and choose or combine as you see fit. Briefly (ha! like I can pull that off), Step Back Saturday is the next in the Throwback series, the last of which was WBAYDN #1566. Since we're sharing the theme, use this simply as a chance to think about and have a beer you haven't had in a while. Give us a brief story and let us know if you are enjoying it well enough to have it show up in your WBAYDN more often going forward.

BeerAdvocates, Booknotes, and Beers was a recurring theme day where the concept involves a book you are reading now photo-bomb your beer pictures. Of course, a brief book club like mention of the book was a nice addition. The first BBB was way back, two years and a month ago on WBADYN #969. Though a better reference might be the "advertisement" for the second edition I found using my interweb skills that was just barely over two years ago on WBAYDN #997.

And Glass of the Day? That likely needs no walk down memory lane, having only ended a couple months back. Being a bigger part (and easier to understand) aspect of the WBAYDN lore than the other two themes, it probably needs little explanation. Basically, put the beer you are drinking in the now into a pretty, unique, interesting vessel before you shoot a photo.

So, go for a single aspect or impress your virtual friends by going with a beer from your past in a vintage glass while picking up a book you've been meaning to re-read. We hope you get a kick out of one or more aspects of the day. We're looking forward to your participation!!

I am taking @JakeScullys call to action seriously. This next musical selection is dedicated to my two toddlers who turned 3 Oreo cookies each into a face paint design worthy of a black metal band going on stage.

 

Having an Achel while fiddling with the new vhf transceiver I received today.

Entered the necessary registration codes earlier before I had any beer. Not very complicated but there is just one change to do this right. When you fail the unit has to be returned to the factory for a reset All fine now and adjusting time zone and GPS etc.
