Twin Elephant Brewing to open

I feel the same way. I was there at least 2-3x a month to get a growler fill on Friday, but now hoppy growlers are usually sold out by 8pm Fridays.

Definitely happy they're doing so well, hopefully the new double batches hang around a little longer, I feel like i've missed out on some awesome IPAs the last few weeks.

 

Wonder how long "more then normal amount" goes for/lasts

 

Perhaps Action Park will sway me back in favor of Pale Wheats

 

plan to be there around open to check these out... was away last weekend and missed the new stuff from then as well...

odd apparently only filling 32's, but 64oz max pp qty... will fill a 64 but at 2x 32 price.

 

i would assume this is (mostly) a result of them having a flat price for 4/8/16/32/64oz pours and fills regardless of the beer being pour/filled.

Hardog is pretty damn good. One of the more favorite IPAs I've had from them -- though I've missed a few of their more recent ones.

 

Had some Fuzzy Duckling & Sucked Into The Void on Friday.

Fuzzy Duckling was pretty solid. A real easy summer drinker.

Sucked Into The Void was interesting. I don't believe I'd had an Imperial Saison before. I love Set the Vector so figured I'd give this a shot. There is a large alcohol presence in the flavor, but it works with the beer better than I thought it would.

Didn't get a chance to try any of the DDH stuff.

 

didn't make it over this weekend, hopefully some of the latest releases lasts til Fri/Sat next weekend... hardog sounds really good.

 

Fwiw Chessboxin' was still on for growler fills Saturday afternoon so that's a good sign.

interesting that they added Thursday hours before Sunday hours, though it should make it much easier to get growlers on Thursday.

 

agree, would've thought Sunday would come back before adding Thursday... my only concern is if you can't make it Thurs, it may prevent getting a growler at all for the weekend.. but obviously must be adding it because they feel they are starting to build up the capacity.

 

That's a good point. It may depend on the beer. I know Hardog was released Saturday and it's not on for fills this week, however Chessboxin' (DIPA) was released 2 weeks ago and still on for growler fills.
