Can't comment on Sosus as it has yet to show up in Milwaukee despite claims and promises from every level of the food chain, but nice profile pic!

Last year they didn't as far as I remember. They were salty on Twitter about the Fest preferring cheap beer though and appeared to momentarily forget about Nordicfest in relation to how long a particular keg of Term Oil would last.

Check what Rubaiyat has on tap and bottles when in town.

You'll be lucky if there's any beer left in that town if you're waiting to go after Bix. 20,000 - 30,000 bikers will be passing through there next Friday and it's a safe bet that a percentage of them are well aware of who and what Toppling Goliath is, not to mention another percentage who will figure it out pretty quick when they see the party as the RAGBRAI route rolls right by the front door.

Thanks for the tips! I'll check out that Rubaiyat when I'm in town. I'm not looking to load on on cases of beer to go home, just want to have dinner and some beers while I'm there. And If I end up crushing Bud Light for the night I'm fine with that too! I figured why not go since I'm never in that area; truth is otherwise I'd most likely just be sitting at the same couple bars with the same 3 dudes back home so why not see / do something new.

TG always has big crowds for NordicFest. I don't think they're going to have anything crazy available, but it will be a fun time.

Greetings BA mates. Regarding the MD release on the 19th, a few inquiries. Any info would be of great assistance. 2 caveats.....did not win a release ticket....and will be my first time to Decorah....

-This question may be more for locals of Decorah, but based on previous releases what specific bars/pubs have MD on tap day before or day off release?

-Night before MD release, Friday the 18th, I assume shares will be taking place in basically every hotel lobby in decorah. Any recommendations for which hotel/share?

-Word of mouth tells me Pulpit Rock should not be missed as well, is that accurate?

Thanks for any detail provided. Cheers!

Anyone traveling from the Ohio region and is looking to carpool for MD release?

Not looking forward to driving myself.

It's as good as TG. A different stylistic focus. They'll likely have some incredible fruit sours on that day as well some awesome IPAs/IIPAs, and some of their killer imperial stouts.

I didn't even bother entering the TG lottery. I'll just hang out at Pulpit Rock and C&C that day.

Supa Sumo is set to get bottled in bombers it appears. Label was approved by TTB earlier this month. Nice!

This is some damn good news! Any idea when will see this? Perhaps with the latest batch of King coming up?

Courtyard & Cellar. Fantastic beer bar on Water Street in downtown Decorah. 1/2 mile walk from TG, and they usually have a great tap list, and wild bottle share on TG release days. The owner (DecorahNM) has posted in this thread, and will likely post his release day plans as he gets them fleshed out.

I don't know about any Friday night hotel shares. That seems to be more of a traveler thing than a local thing, TBH.

Does TG usually put any other stouts or DIPAs on tap for their releases? Just wondering if I should expect anything interesting to be on top later on that night?

I'll be heading up from Arkansas. First time visiting TG. How does one find out about the bottle shares happening on MD release weekend?

Mike just announced they will have Supa Sumo available for the MD release. First time bottled I think. I wouldn't expect other stouts but other IPAs.
