Went to today's Nothing Gold release, nice easy experience. Got there at 9:50 for the 10 am open, waited about 30 min in the back line, and then I was out of there with the full allotment.

Haven't seen much info about their expansion in Mili, ME so I asked About it. Evidently it's a smaller satellite brewery to focus on wilds and other barrel aged beers. There will be a taproom too. It's about a year away. Too bad Milo is way off the beaten path...

Thanks, good reconnaissance - I will be curious to see how Bissell does with sours and BA beers - I think I recall reading that they're from the Milo area and they're trying to use it as an employment / beer tourism draw which if correct, should earn them enduring Maine and beyond fan base support... But more central to the mission is how well they do with the new sour and BA lines, which I would imagine would also be distributed out of Thompson Point, at least for larger batches. They've also got Oxbow as a quasi role model for having a second more remote location - I wonder if, and how much of an influencing factor they might have been?

And off point - I finally scored some Diavaletto last Thursday and despite my reluctance to engage in session beers, I'm happy to report I could quaff that beer all day!!! Simply amazing how much flavor, nose, etc. could be packed into a 3% APA!

    Quick question.

What time do can sales start on Aug 02 for Nothing Gold?

I read their web page and was under the impression all weekday can sales start at noon. But i rcvd a msg from another ba trader and he thinks 10am for Aug 02.

Sorry for such a dumb question. The wife and I are traveling to ME on Aug 02 and i need to finalize our plans.

    Thank you all in advance

    Cheers!

If I get there when they open at noon am I likely to get a full allotment of baby genius? Also,is there any way to know what other cans may be available to go today? Yesterday they had a 40bbl release of reciprocal...

Thanks in advance. This is my first trip!

    3 4-packs of BG (130 cases-260 allotments), 2 4-packs of Substance (75 cases-225 allotments), and 3 4-packs of Reciprocal (50 cases-100 allotments)

You'll should get BG and probably Subby too. Outside shot at Reciprocal. Thursdays tend to be quieter down there.

Good question actually. They open at 10am on Saturdays for NG releases. They opened at 11am for Here's to Feeling Good which was on a Thursday and kind of special deal. I would guess 11, but I'm not sure...

All the info is on their website. I forwarded the link in your other post and answered your question

Go to their main page then click 'release schedule'. The bottom of the page lies your answer again

To be fair the 10am time they mention is for NG Saturday releases. Doesn't mention about weekday releases...

Thanks. For that reason is why im questioning the start time. Plus the different answers i have been receiving.

Just need to know if my travel plans need adjusted so i get some NG cans.

Current eta is noon on Aug 02.
If start is 10am what are my chances of getting ng?
If start is 11am what are my chances of getting ng?

I have hoof hearted for trade but would rather purchase the ng and trade the hoof for other cans not released that day

I ended up getting there early to make sure I could find it and there was already a line at 11:15, so I jumped on. Got a full allotment of each!

Hi - for Wednesday's Nothing Gold release, from past experiences, what time would I need to be there to make sure I was able to get a full allocation of NG and Substance. Since it's a weekday, I am thinking that it wouldn't be an issue if I showed up at opening, but what has it been like in the past? Thanks for any info.

We were pleasantly surprised when we showed up on Saturday about 1:00 PM that there were still plenty of cans of substance and Lux to be had. I would have thought that with the Brew fest starting right next door can sales would have been cleaned out at opening between 11-1. We had no issues finding a parking spot right away. There was a line inside but It moved pretty quickly. Got my allotment, pours and some poke from the truck and sat with our daughter outside. Even more surprised to see Lux still left over on Sunday for sale. We felt like we lucked out on what was just a random stop on the way up to the Children's Museum in town.

No, they didn't open until noon for reciprocal on 7/26. We arrived around 1145, doors closed and line to the end of the building. Took almost an hour to get through with everyone getting pours, merch, etc.

Per twitter, NG sold out at 130 (saturday) and 2 pm (wednesday). They'll have pretty limited substance on a wednesday so plan to be in line like 30 minutes before doors open to guarantee both. If you don't care about substance you could go at like noon and be fine.

Was up there on Friday and Saturday and seems like it would be useful to use 2-3 people running can line and a separate line running for pours and merch only. On Friday I had no intention of buying cans but had to wait in a line out the door to get a 5oz sample behind people waiting for Engram and Substance. Same deal Saturday. Just wanted to buy a glass before heading home and was told I had to wait in a long looping line to the door of people trying to get Lux and Substance cans. Just seems like it would deter people for several hours on can release days that want on-site pours and don't like waiting.

Anybody ever suggest this to them or know a reason why it's only one line?
